Wish to get some information from you about cash back on instalment plan with this card for online tx.
1) is the instalment amount entitle for cash back? 2) will all my cash back quota being used on the date i made the purchase, assuming purchase amount is > RM833.33 ? Or, only the monthly instalment amount will be deduct from the monthly cash back quota, which means I will continue enjoy cash back for the full instalment tenure ? |

QUOTE(wesleycjh @ Sep 27 2016, 10:33 AM) 1. Yes the installment is entitled for the cash back as long as it falls under the entitled categories 2. Only the installment amount deduct from the monthly cash back quota. This is the beauty of this card whereby imagine if you swipe for 6K - 36mths installment, every monthly installment entitled for CB, indirectly u get 6% of 6K = RM360 Cash back!! QUOTE(wesleycjh @ Sep 27 2016, 10:36 AM) I also want to clarify one thing, this only applicable to the installment provided by the merchants NOT the ZIIP provided by Public Banck whereby it allow u to turn any transaction to installments. Thank you very much for your reply. I have further question on the ZIIP point from your reply. How do I know if my instalment is ZIIP or not ZIIP? I buy from merchant, and merchant did the instalment plan for me. I thought that is under ZIIP too? We cannot simply convert the purchase into ZIIP after we bought something, am I right? I checked from PB website, there is no such option for us to change purchase into ZIIP. Thanks in advance for your further reply. |

QUOTE(lilsunflower @ Mar 6 2017, 04:29 PM) Just did all my 8 swipes - buying gift cards for USD12 at Amazon. Had to wait until 4pm+ because of the time difference between Malaysia and the US, which may mess up the transaction date. i did 8 tx at 9am. How has everyone else been doing with this 8 swipe thing? Super tedious doing 8 transactions one after another ahhhh. 6 tx for unifi, 2 for starbucks card. This post has been edited by pvateme: Mar 6 2017, 04:33 PM |

have you guys ever count what is the actual return from mbb amex as comapre to this pb vs now ?
with the 5x points and 5% rebate (weekend only), it actually give me 6.25% cash back, with assumption 20k point for rm50 metrojaya voucher. in that case, i should use amex instead of this pb vs in weekends. anyone has the same thought ? |

QUOTE(ytan053 @ Mar 15 2017, 06:41 PM) I look at it this way:- very good points, have to write down and keep in wallet. Amex (excluding utilities, insurance, government, education etc) as 6.25% during weekend, otherwise for those "1x tp items" it is 5.25% on weekend. Those items that you cant pay with 6% cash back credit card online and on shopee, Amex is good to go during weekend. example: Tokio Marine insurance. PBVS is 6% for online, dining and groceries - lose to amex during weekend with the exception below that I can think of:- 1) Paying for telecom bills and utilities, with shopee, can get easily another 1% (or more) off. That makes it to 7%. 2) Spending on Monday by swiping 8 x RM50 on Monday itself, 99% chance to get another 12.5% (RM50 for RM400) spent apart from the 7%. Still better than Amex weekend. 3) Even for government bill like MBPJ, DBKL, MBSJ etc, amex during weekend only gives 5% vs PBVS of 6%. Now with the UOB promo of spending RM500 [on Yolo for online] and get RM50 back (10% equivalent) on top of the usual 6% feature, this promo also makes online spending with UOB YOLO more interesting than PBVS and Amex but must spend the RM500 be very early in the week. |
