QUOTE(tatty89 @ Aug 29 2016, 03:05 PM)
Apparently CIMB has this T&C that if the cash rebate for the billing month is less than rm10, the system will allow us to pay the statement balance less the rebate amount.

However, if the cash rebate is more than rm10 in that billing month, you need to pay the stated statement balance without deducting the cash rebate. If you don't do that, you will be penalised with finance charges for the difference.

I just checked my CIMB Clicks and I was hit by RM20++ (small amount, I know) finance charges for last month's bill. I called up CS Centre and I was told of such T&C by the lady on the other side of the line. I have checked the T&C on CIMB's website but it doesn't state such T&C. I have yet to check the T&C booklet that came along with the credit card.

So, I'm just curious if anyone here got hit by such charges? I usually pay all my credit card bills by deducting the cash rebate from the statement balance. I always assumed that as long as the credit card account shows RM0.00 for outstanding balance and minimum payment, it means I have cleared all my payment due to the bank.

P.S. Please correct me if I'm wrong and I'm using CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard

CIMB doesn't allow deduction regardless the amount and will be penalized with interest.

yet some reported didnt get charged of finance charges.

usually for CIMB CR, we always advise ppl to pay full statement amount, but tatty89's feedback seems like a plausible reason behind the discrepancy.

Caught surprised my staff asked me to key in pin!

Lucky I remembered my pin.

Last I go snap photo of the terminal used.

I renewed my CrossFit gym membership @ Cittamall
Machine at counter, staff just extend the machine to me.

My last transaction charged at Jaya Grocer Tropicana still use signature. Most of my card usage for online.

Just write them an email telling you were rejected by them recently. You would like to appeal as you don't see a reason why you should be rejected and ask them to give you a chance, if needed you are willing to send in more supporting documents.
How about leaving blank like what kawteem mentioned?
I will try soon and update you guys. icon_idea.gif
UOBPayOnline cannot get any cash back under CIMB CR.

The cashback is not posted today. Have they withdrew the cashback from paying via posonline? Very suspicious.

6% GST on top of the 2% convenience fee.

nett would be 2.12% from the amount you intended to pay.

example below. posonline charge you RM77.00 for payment of RM75.40. that's additional 2.12%.
