Oh no  doh.gif So generally swiping overseas have no cross border charges?
We swiped in MYR last month overseas and still got charged, so I guess there won't be any if we swipe in their local currency instead?
*
what you got slapped would be DCC charges which are quite high, yeap should always choose the country local currency instead

The current practice at McD is no need to sign.
But I'm asking if this practice is a violation since no PIN input nor signature is required.
Even though it's not a big deal but just a concern.
If you guys think that I'm too noisy, just ignore me.
*
if you have a paywave/paypass card enabled and it is below RM250 that's why when you slot it no PIN required

Would it be problem of Maybank Visa Paywave device? It seem like limitation of Maybank Visa paywave device that make it not accept Mastercard Paypass.
*
Maybank terminal didn't even accept Paywave, I tried it before with PBB Visa card

cimb forex rates also quite high 2-2.5% so it's better to use other cards when you go shopping overseas or buying stuff online with other currencies

terbalik pulak.

rightfully, less than 250 (150 @ Aeon Big) only PIN. more than that, signature.
*
there's no signature required so >RM250 wave needs PIN and below that just wave without PIN

Even my cimb debit card exchange rate was favourable. I got lower rate compared to money changer on certain days. Quite surprised with it.

When pay physically with card, always choose to pay in local currency and not ringgit.
*
yeah i always chose local currency but i haven't tried using debit card only credit card nod.gif

bnm replied have to go through CRU@cimb.com first
