Finishing bad, does it compromise the performance?
Here another comparison. Dunlop SP sport J5 on the left 185/70/14 and Apollo Alnac 4G on the right 185/65/14

Another photo Apollo Alnac 4G on the left 185/65/14 and Continental CC6 on the right 175/65/14

Wow.. those are some big grooves for a 14inch tyre..

Ohhh.. The treadwear for Apollo Alnac 4G is 280 surprising low as for Dunlop J5 is 340 and Continental CC6 is 380.

you may read some reviews here

It should come down to the price its being sold.

Tq for the review site.
It looks promising, even thou just a hand full of review.
Just change 2 new tyres on the rear with Apollo Alnac 4G.
Hope it wont disappoint. Anyway its the cheapest of all with quite a big longkang for dispersing more water as the year end we will be having more rainfall.

Any good tyres from Hankook or Kumho? Preferably for braking performance.

CC5s squeals so bad during junction exits. Hard breaking also looses grip. It's a comfort tyre that's for sure.

is it normal for new tyre to be noisy. recently chnge from advan fleva to hankook v12 evo2. done 200km.cant comment on performance yet, for now dry n wet grip not better than my previos set but 2 things im impress, the aquaplaning resistance n comfort.

nway, noticed 'wung wung wung' sound as i approach 40kmh, the sound repeated faster as speed increase. th noise will go off after 100kmh.

done alighment balancing n camber during tyre change. no vibration at high speed, tested until 150kmh.car also not lari one side if my steering straight.

any opinion?? i want to have little knowledge before i go to tyre shop, later scared they lie said nothing is wrong. tq

This is the tyre's resonance frequency that caused this noise, my car also similar, just the speed range not as wide as yours.

Nothing to do with the alignment and balancing of the car. You can play around the tyre pressure to reduce the speed range of this noise.

6UE5T you have this issue on the myvi and swift?

tq for ur resonse. this is my 5th change..as far as i remember never had this issue after changing new set previosly. perhaps this is unique to this tyre. this is my first time using hankook k120. will the resonance frequency faded after tyre break in. nway i will not noticed it if i really focus on detecting it/ when turn on radio.. haha..

Hmm I don't notice any such noise from my son's Swift or my wife's Livina (not myvi). The Swift is quite loud though coz of the sport exhaust. The Livina is just normal quiet but the tires were used that I got together with the used rims.

Very very obvious wung wung wung sound. Only sound, no other abnormal findings.

Change to PS3, ranged at 90-95.

So yea, its the thread oattern etc etc.

I'm not sure whether it will go away after breaking in as mine still have it after driving 2000km already. As you mentioned, if don't really pay attention, won't really hear it as not so obvious. It also depends on the road surface.

Probably my ears also already lost quite some hearing ability due to listening to loud heavy metal all the time! laugh.gif That's why don't; ask me about tire noise coz I'm not reliable for that aspect! laugh.gif
