Hi to all

Want advice regarding my new problem. I just change 205 50 16 falken 914 to 205 45 17 maxxis ipro victra.  As expected,  noise is very significant n ride comfort reduce as expected.

What is the most comfortable,  quietest n lowest rolling resistance tyre with good dry n wet grip for my next change.

Or do u have any suggestion to reduce my problem for time being. Im driving ford fiesta 2010.tq.
*
Good grip dont come with low resistance.. thats what grip is.. resistance..

You can always use Michelin PS3.. good allrounder... Probably around rm400++ per pcs..

Thx for the reply,  if ps3,  might be out of my budget.  But if i only want the comfort quiet n low resistance,  what tyre  wud u suggest?
*
45 series rubber and 17 inch rims is not known for comfort.. maybe u should stick with 50/r16..

Comfort there is Michelin Primacy 3ST, Yokohama Advan dB, Hankook Ventus S1 noble2...

That is not exhaustive.. comfort and low resistance is abit out of my league..

Certain sizes of Goodyear F1 Assymetric 2 tires are made in Germany... F1A3 i dont know..

And. Cheap doesn't rhyme with performance bro.. value for money maybe la.. you are better off with achilles or hankook brand or even viking..

Hi folks, I would like everyone to have a look at my tires and provide your comments about them (Size 185/60 R14):
Front tires, installed late last year and covered about 10-15k before being rotated in May. After that covered another 8k.

RHS. Advanced wear on the sides. Common knowledge says this is under-inflation wear, however I have constantly maintained it at 33PSI and checking every 1-2 weeks.

LHS. Noticeable wear on the inside, some additional wear on the outside. Similar wear as the RHS tire only less severe.

Rear tires, installed early 2014, covered about 60-70k before being rotated in May.

Scrubbing, noticeable side wear and little cracks. Again, looks like under-inflation wear although I have constantly maintained 33PSI. Are tires supposed to start cracking like this after only 2-3 years? Its driven everyday but always parked under hot sun.

For the front, whats the suggested tyre inflation pressure?
Still looks like alignment issue..

For the rear, scrubbing happens if the tyres are not rolling correctly.. probably needs toe adjustment..

Also what brand of tyre?

Last alignment adjust was in May together with the rotation. What kind of alignment issue will cause wear on both outer sides?
For standard 13" is 30PSI, but i'm using 14" and 33PSI
What kind of alignment issue could it be?

Proton Wira can adjust rear toe ke?

Front is Viking, rear is Maxxis
*
Positive camber will wear out the sides.. or too much toe in..
Inner and outer or outer side only?

Front RHS tire have extra wear on inside + outside and quite bad.
Front LHS tire have extra wear on inside (minor but noticeable) + outside (moderate)

Rear tires both have extra wear on inside (moderate) + outside (moderate) + scrubbing

Or else, you may refer to the attached photos.
Stock 13" tire pressure is 30psi, if 14" should be slightly higher I think?
I spoke with a friend who suggested it may be the front lower arm bushings have given way.  hmm.gif
*
Maybe u can check the shocks and arms.. also their mounts..

Hi all sifu.

Any recommendation for 1955515?

Top priority will be grip. Currently using 003.

Budget is not a problem since 15' won't go any further with the price. Thread wear also not a problem as I will change tyres every 3 years.

003 wet grip is bad when hitting 30k km...

Is ps3 still  relevant? Or already phase out and being replaced by ps4

Frequent travel in highway and karak bemtong raub that area once a months. So karak highway I need some good tyre
*
Definitely PS3...
Dunlop Formula D05 pun not bad grip..
Cant spin my tyres during uturn anymore..
But thats on 225/45R17 la..

195/55R15 dont go for Conti CC6.. low mileage.. grip so so only.. but comfy.. quiet..

QUOTE(sa10 @ Aug 29 2017, 10:17 AM)
Car Type: Toyota Vios 2011
Tyre Type & Profile: Michelin XM2 175/60/R14
Tyre Aging: 3years/26000km+ (changed in Aug 2014)
Maintenance Status: Perform tire rotation, balancing & alignment yearly
Condition: 4 tires worn evenly, no sidewall cracking, or abnormal peel off on tread

Symptom 1: Front left suspension vibrates much while doing right u-turn on wet road condition (raining)
Symptom 2: Front right suspension vibrates much while doing left u-turn on wet road condition (raining)

The symptoms only happen on wet but not dry road condition.

I have no idea.
*
Suspension geometry limitation..

Happens to cars with thick sidewall tyres..
Basically the dynamic camber during the u turns causes the tyre to ride almost on the sidewall.. the tyre slips.. because the turn anglenis too great...

i just changed my stock tire for Proton Iriz 1.6 MT. From 195/55r15 to 195/60r15. I was told later that my speedometer would be inaccurate due to increase in tire diameter. I just wonder if this truly was a bad tire change. Or is it possible to recalibrate the speedometer?
*
Why the change to 195/60? I feel that the 195/55 is tall enough.. and there is no shortage of options for 195/55R15.. speedo calibration is not possible.. calibrate mentally...

I'm in sales so I drive a lot. On average I drive 3300km/mth. Durability has to be my top priority then comfort tongue.gif . There are many driving method to compensate on "lesser" grip tyres.
*
Look for Michelin Primacy 3ST.. lasted me 60k km before i change it out.. definitely had tread left.. maybe 2 or 3 mm..

Thank you in advance.
