I'm planning to replace my stock tyres to CC6 but there's no 175/65/R15... Would 185/65/R15 or 185/60/R15 works? Thanks

This tyre rating numbers have no set standard to measure/compare. There are quite a lot of factors influencing how fast tyre wears down :
- tyre pressure
- weight of car
- weight balance
- suspension geometry
- how hard the driver accelerates/brakes/corners
- tyre compound
- etc

It more like serve as a general indicator that if above 350, it is long wearing compound not for spirited handling.

i agreed.only as a reference,generally is okay.

That tire is still very new here but should be even better and the sidewall should be stiffer. Go ahead and try, you shouldn't go wrong with it then give us your feedback here. smile.gif

No one knows the exact tyre compound recipe other than the manufacturer itself, it is their trade secret.

The main components of the compound are :
1) rubber
2) artificial rubber
3) carbon black
4) silica

The rest is their secret sauce (like yokohama boast about using orange oil in some of their line ups)

The sidewall is on the softer side to maintain good comfort level even though it's a high performance tire with still good grip.

just like to ask regarding my xm2. I changed two of my tires to 185 55 15 at a michelin store few weeks ago. few days ago I pump the tires and surprised that the pressure is almost 320kpa from the usual 220kpa. the shop also pump the other 2 non michelin tires to 320kpa. is that normal?

Maybe the shop didn't check or calibrate their pressure probe/reader, ridiculously high air pressure as only new cars out of factory pump to that kind of pressure to avoid flat spotting in the event of prolonged storage.

Just bring the pressure down to the recommended air pressure for your car.
