QUOTE(chaoskid @ Jul 8 2018, 08:49 AM) There's continental mc6 for mazda 3 size ... RM400++ Road noise through the yellow lines are much more softer to hear than stock T1 Sport... i've change all 4 to mc6 and definitely way better than stock toyozzzzzz The t1 sport totally ruined the car's refinement; if the civic fd was spec-ed with this tyre, it would also be noisy to the max on the road. Mazda factory spec-ed it wrongly. As i mentioned earlier, even use cheaper but equivalent level hankook v12evo2 can change the refinement character significantly. Initially thought that the sound insulation of the car was below average, but after swapping to new tyres, i would say that the insulation level is pretty much on par. Those with the facelifted gvc version also have a slight bump in refinement area also. I hazard guess that a swap of tyre from factory could at least bump the car sales by at least 10% for the mazda3.

QUOTE(wkc5657 @ Jul 6 2018, 12:16 PM) I can vouch for what 6UE5T mentioned, as i just changed a set of v12evo2 on 225/45/18 size. Good value for money, and the best part is there is no penalty on rolling refinement (and could be even better than your current tyres). FK510 should be available now if you put in a little effort to look around, as the official website have that product up very recently : http://www.stamfordtyres.com.my/tyrespasse...p?b=1&c=1&t=147Price wise, it is a slight premium to v12evo2 (but still cheaper than ps4). But the premium is worth it as the performance and refinement metrics is a notch better than v12evo2. If no hurry, wait a while for fk510 to saturate the market and the supply stabalises. The pricing could be more favourable (or you wait till official launch of fk510 in hopes that there will be bundled initial launch goodies/promotions). Im using same tyre size as urs. How much u got bro? I gonna change my donuts soon...

Yeah if you can still wait a few more months then better so can try the FK510 when supply already more widespread.

QUOTE(gacktleong @ Jul 12 2018, 04:31 PM) Im using same tyre size as urs. How much u got bro? I gonna change my donuts soon... I'm from down south, the pricing not as competitive. I got mine at RM400/pc inclusive alignment + balancing + metal valve). You can continue ask around your place since you know that it shouldn't cost more than RM400. If can bargain till about RM350, it is consider quite a reasonable deal. After all, all that extra driving around and effort and time cost, sometimes that bit extra compared to the cheapest option you know is worth the convenience. If no hurry, just wait for the FK510, spec wise is has better rolling refinement and grip performance.

QUOTE(leehernandez @ Jul 16 2018, 06:30 PM) if thats the case almost same with ps3 320 or v12 also 320 if not mistaken This tyre rating numbers have no set standard to measure/compare. There are quite a lot of factors influencing how fast tyre wears down : - tyre pressure - weight of car - weight balance - suspension geometry - how hard the driver accelerates/brakes/corners - tyre compound - etc It more like serve as a general indicator that if above 350, it is long wearing compound not for spirited handling.
