yks...that's a good price but it's not a 16:9 projector, it's a normal 4:3.
last night I day dream of renovating my living hall into mini theater, and wondering where should I put my AV equipment to save the length of the HDMI cables....and I'll need to buy a HDMI switcher that have at least 2 out, 1 to the TV and 1 to the projector cos' have no intention to change the receiver...also, will hang the TV on the wall and the projector screen will be those roll up type that when roll down will be in front of the TV and rolled up when not in use.... but only day dream...cos the new cabinet itself will cost thousands, not to mention the 1080p projector and screen...and I have no money to begin with.... maybe I'll made it come through some of these days....and my wife ask me when I tell her this, she said, "You got money meh???" |

QUOTE(rx330 @ Dec 5 2007, 11:11 AM) QUOTE(yks228 @ Dec 6 2007, 01:36 AM) just got mine today... Might not be a good buy actually. It looks more like a multimedia projector rather than home theater projecor. But hope you will enjoy it. At one time, someone was selling his AE-700, he was the same guy I bought the HDMI cable from. Not sure whether he is still in Malaysia or not.HP ep7122 echnology:DLP (Digital Light Processing) Brightness: 1020 ANSI lumens Native resolution: XGA (1024 x 768) Contrast ratio: 1600:1 Weight: 5.7 kg Dimensions: (WxDxH): 386 x 365 x 205 Noise level: 34 dB Lamp: 4000 hours lamp life RM1499.00 the price ok??? coz its old model... But just word of advise, save a little longer and spend on a good new unit. You will not regret of every sen/cent you spent on it. QUOTE(mpyw @ Dec 6 2007, 08:41 AM) yks...that's a good price but it's not a 16:9 projector, it's a normal 4:3. The only way you can save your cable is when you have a HDMI amplifier or switcher. But to have TV and projector at the same place will surely need you to have a very long HDMI cable. HE!@ HE! last night I day dream of renovating my living hall into mini theater, and wondering where should I put my AV equipment to save the length of the HDMI cables....and I'll need to buy a HDMI switcher that have at least 2 out, 1 to the TV and 1 to the projector cos' have no intention to change the receiver...also, will hang the TV on the wall and the projector screen will be those roll up type that when roll down will be in front of the TV and rolled up when not in use.... but only day dream...cos the new cabinet itself will cost thousands, not to mention the 1080p projector and screen...and I have no money to begin with.... maybe I'll made it come through some of these days....and my wife ask me when I tell her this, she said, "You got money meh???" But heck... don't always say no money, this year cannot buy, wait for next year. Drink less beer and teh tarik... You will note that your bnk account grow faster... |

QUOTE(timothyy @ Dec 4 2007, 04:16 PM) Hello uncle... Bro sometimes after I look at the list price, I don't even want to bargain.... Even after 40-60% off, which is usually what I can bargain for furniture, I still don't think the set is worth that amount. That guy gave me 30% discount la... But really... luckily I did not take. Coz if I do, I'll be sleeping on it more than I watch movie... coz its too comfortable... Here is a pic for your guys. The swiwel single chair is not included... ![]() QUOTE(yks228 @ Dec 6 2007, 01:36 AM) just got mine today... Congratulations on your purchase, you just bought youself a multimedia projector. I guess its as good a starting place as any for a Home Theatre enthusiast. Here is my take:HP ep7122 Technology:DLP (Digital Light Processing) Brightness: 1020 ANSI lumens Native resolution: XGA (1024 x 768) Contrast ratio: 1600:1 Weight: 5.7 kg Dimensions: (WxDxH): 386 x 365 x 205 Noise level: 34 dB Lamp: 4000 hours lamp life RM1499.00 the price ok??? coz its old model... 1. Lumen count is a bit low but may not be an important factor in your evironment 2. Contrast ratio is a bit on the low side, tell us what you think about the colours compared to your TV. 3. Noise level 34dB.... this is on the high side again, could be a distraction. 4. Lamp 4000 hrs is really good 5. Price ok..... dunnolah, as long as you are satisfied. I would tend to agree that you should have stretched a bit more and gotten a proper HT Projector, Sony are offering 2 budget Projectors at around RM3-4k. QUOTE(VincentCheun @ Dec 6 2007, 10:56 AM) I don't use optical, normal shielded coax cable is just as good since no need to convert the signal so many times.... once at the source and then another time at the receiver. For an optical cable, I don think you can go wrong with any brand or make.Jason |

I have tested that and its actually is a good/ok projector. Only thing I don't like is the lens flexibility. zoom only 1.2x. |

To get best results, turn off the flash onthe camera and use a tripod when taking pics.wat we pay wat we get ma.... for RM1.5k cant ask for more... i just need a big screen for playing game. be4 this i think to buy a 24" LCD monitor. but i think a projector better then monitor... lol coz can get more big..... i happy with it... but 1 thing sad la... the projector screen cant fit my room.... >< now using white PVC only.... n thx for u all replied...^^ I am really intersted to see how you projector's performance.
