When it comes to Transfomers and robots... I get a little bit crazy and impulsive. I already have all the toys from the movie. So I decided I would need a complete collection of all the DVDs that came out. This is what I got for myself....

And now to the movie.... Overall I feel that the colours are very nice but its a dark movie.... what do u think? To those playing the home game, I am using an Epson TW700 with 300hrs on the bulb and with very subtle tweaks to the colour and gamma. I forget the settings that I have changed... I have posted the calibration that I did using Avia somewhere in this thread. Do a search if you are interested. My screen is a matt "Lily White" wall, in a yet unfinished AV Room (more on my AV Room later).

And the first ever LIVE ACTION transformation of a Transformer is seen on screen. The first time I saw this scene at the cinema I almost cried.. so long have I been waiting for this. Blackout transforms. It is actually quite nice to see this in slo-mo.

At the end, Boy gets souped up bling bling car AND super hot babe!!! Every teenager's wet dream come true.

And for those who walked out of the cinema as soon as the credits started to roll.. Starscream does fly into space, I guess to call the rest of the Decepticons to come pound the crap out of some Autobots.... in instalment 2? Soundwave better be in instalment 2 or heads are gonna roll!!!


I love the movie, and I love the toys... hooray for Steven Spielberg for bringing this to the cinema!!

Wah cannot tahan liau. Damn a lot of "poison" in here!!!! Now really thinking hard if i want to get a projector or a 42" plasma tv.

The listed price of the projectors in the US and My got damn a lot of difference!!!!

42"plasma TV is more flexible, but when it comes to pure enjoyment of movies made for the cinema, the projector wins... no argument.

As for the listed price.... its only a listed price. If you shop around and ask for discount, you will be surprised how much some dealers are willing to give. Don't be shy to ask!!!

currently I'm still using my 3.5 year old benQ6100 (just done 578 hrs) and planning to upgrade to a new 720p prj.
anyone know how much is the prj tax if I wld buy one from US during X'mas.

My choices are :
1. Pana AX200 (USD$1299)
2. Pana Ax100 (USD$1099)
3. Sanyo Z5 (USD$1399)
4. Mist HC1500 ($999-$1099)
5. Optoma HD70 ($950-$999)

I think my time, I called up almost everyshop and go round and round almost every place before made the order.

Anyway, my 6 months old TW700 already 600hrs loh... kakakaka...

I'm going to US for business only just b4 Xmas and don't have much time for shopping, I've shortlisted my prj choice simple they are available at Circuit City or Best Buy which near by our office. I prefer brighter and high black prj like my cheapo 6100, therefore pana AX200 still my top choice , but a bit concern on the flickering problem that mentioned in AVSForum and mist HT1500 is my 2nd pick.

My advise to all who are looking to buy a projector... stretch ur RM/$ and get a 1080 Full HD projector. Even if you think u don't u need one. HD players and HD DVDs are cmoning down in price and it will be here sooner than you think....

The tax should be in the region of 20%. However, you may strip off the box and put it in a carrying case. When they check, you tell them it is for company business presentation usage. Try your luck. .

Don't buy overseas la. If got problem, no one gonna help you with warranty even if its "International Warranty". I always have this phobia...

I am still using my Sanyo Z2 bought in 2004. When the lamp is gone, I may think of upgrading to Z5 or Z6? with HDMI

While price japan is a good source for electronics direct from Japan, the products that they sell comes with a Japan ONLY warranty. So if you have any problems you will need to send it back to Japan AT YOUR OWN COST. If you want to shop internationally then Hong Kong's Hivizone is a better bet and with better prices. All their projectors come with international warranty.

I have said tis many times and the experienced members in this thread have also said it many times.......you can get similarly priced HT Projectors in Malaysia if you are willing to shop around and nego a bit. Save yourself the hassle and buy locally, you are assured of an International Warranty, if not then at least local warranty. And if you are buying a Panny... you do not want to be without a warranty, as bro Tim will attest to!!!

Buying electronic goods without warranty is like going Genting only.
If you wanna buy overseas, its the same as NO WARRANTY. Anything goes wrong, you eat yourselves.

Calling for more reviews of HT Projectors. If you are passionate about Projectors and have a penchant for writing, please post up a review of a projector that you have viewed or one that you own. Ne or old does not matter.
