Recently ive been approached by a bank in malaysia to move back..really weighing the move

Hypothetical pay figures for illustration :

Annual package in sgd (now): sgd65k (before bonus but its pathetic anyway)

Proposed myr annual package : myr114k (before bonus, expected to be similarly pathetic)

Promotion chances in both sides pretty much non existent, but im a little higher up the pecking order in the malaysia bank.

What would you do?
*
My scenario was reverse for the package. SG higher position higher number, MY lower post and number, went back to MY. So far so good.

Software Developer. EP.

Also, I should not be expecting CPF right?

Why so low salary? I was expect Sg have higher pay for software developer as I seen in the job board.

So now that you know the reality of the pay, will that deter you from coming?

Hi sifus I just got offered a job at SG and my company asked me to do a medical check up next Monday. iirc I have to wait few days to collect the medical report so should I just stay at there or return to msia then come back after few more days?

Also, can I start to find a room now or should I wait until I got the physical permit?

Thanks.

Do consider your take home pay after income tax. For that M'sia salary, your income tax is high (24% if not mistaken). Unless you return home under REP program, where it comes with perks of buying CKD cars with no tax, lower income tax, etc - however not applicable if you are returning from S'pore
