should I buy some stocks now like S&P500, Amazon etc or wait?

Prices keep going up these few days. Feel they will crash back down again soon. Due to this news:

If it looks cheap, just buy IMO. 30% percent below intrinsic value for bluechips can buy already. If it drops more, it's just an opportunity to buy more. Long term will be ok one. Waiting for it to drop even more is just being greedy.

Russia-Ukraine war still ongoing (affecting global food and commodity prices), Fed still increasing interest rates, albeit at a lower % now. It is rumored May 2023 will be the last rate hike by them.

However just yesterday OPEC plans to cut oil production (Saudi dislikes US), so more chance of inflation going up again due to oil price:
https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/why...put-2023-04-03/
Oil predicted to jump back to the $100 price range.

All these factors doesn't make it convincing that a solid bullrun is ongoing.

revenue = price x vol

price ada, tapi vol sikit = low revenue also = lower earnings

Opec+ cut production believes that US and EU will be coming into recession. Summer coming. Consumption will be drop.

Remain production rate will pull the oil price drop even further down.

So oil price increase might be short-term before coming down later. If such, inflation might not go up and affect much.

No one long black gold ? tongue.gif

Bursa black gold. Not US oil.

Was hoping for demand driven price hike but it came as a supply side price increase.

Welcome the news but this is just dumb luck not because i made a good call.

Hahaha... I see. smile.gif

Let me guess.... it's either flower or boat.

Supply issue is a disaster that's bound to happen. There is a war going on and an oil embargo going on, and oil is not rocketing?

And the bargaining chip from the shale oilers,? That's rather diminishing, isn't it? Worst still there's a Bodeh in charge....

Yeah... that's the scary thought.... the oil inflation....

Just waiting for a windfall cycle like our old glove cycle to happen.

But with economy cooling, potential has diminished.

Oil demand drop mean the world economy is poorer than expected and high oil price reduce consumers spending. the vicious cycle may carry on until mbs realize high oil price is detrimental to his economic transformation and investment.

The interesting issue mentioned in crude shipments, China demand for oil had been picking up. And this had resulted in soaring rates. See the older news link posted.

https://www.freightwaves.com/news/crude-shi...op-100000-a-day

But of course, with the news of the cut in oil output, this caused a reaction in the charter rates.

https://www.freightwaves.com/news/opec-thro...king-confidence

* my 3 sen is China and India is still going to buy more oil from Russia. Cheap is always good. And with supply being cut, them, Da Ge gang might probably sapu more... tongue.gif *

From the first link.....

'More VLCCs are now heading to China again. Kpler analyst Matthew Wright told FreightWaves on Friday, โ€œVLCCs have moved up quite a bit in recent weeks, and a big increase in fixtures from the U.S. to China has played a big part in this. There have been 13 booked so far this month, up from four in February and six in January.โ€
