Unifi tech came today. Replacing the new DIR850L to new TPLink C5

I had no issue, my house is quite small. From my room I can fetch up to 143Mbps via .11ac and 30-40Mbps via .11n.

For any kind soul on unifi 100Mbps..would it be possible to try speedtest to this site..

Netflix speedtest

This is netflix speedtest and it's only download speedtest. Curious what speeds other unifi owners get on a 100Mbps line.

On unifi 100Mbps I get average about 55-70Mbps. This is via LAN. Just wondering how the speed varies for sites out of malaysia.

For TM speedtest I get about 94Mbps consistently. Short ping times as well.

ok. i just found out that, i get cheated by TM agent for upgrading prackage last time... is it possible i terminate unifi but retain telephone line?

dun think so leh cos the cable connected to the modem wo

Will report on this matter with MCMC if there isn't any follow-up from TM on this.

I got the free upgrade to 10mbps with RM149 per month but the speed is still around 5mbps after the upgrade

Anyone has any increase in speed after the free upgrade?

did they tell you when your line will be upgraded?

When i called them to ask about the free upgrade, they told me it has been upgraded already and asked me to restart my modem. But the speed is still the same after i restarted it

WiFi. I was getting 20Mbps previously on WiFi too.

Not much useful info in the video. quite a waste of time to me.
I think nobody care about which PON technology they gonna use for new UNIFI users.
If anybody wanna sign-up UNIFI , they only care about where, and when TM are going to deploy it.

Obviously, they currently deploy it in a very passive way.
All Malaysian can only "checking" their address in TM website to know valid or not currently.
no transparency at all.

since they got the money support from the gov, i think people have the right to know where is the HSBB2 and SUB URBAN areas they refer to(which area? which town?) ? and when they will proceed it ?
We always heard about it, but, seems that nobody ever saw their schedule, everything is in the mist.


For the users in non-unifi area (/streamxy user) ,
Seems that, they plan to use their own VDSL2 variant to be the successor of current ADSL technology.
but bad karma still waiting for them in next decade (from my understanding).
anyway, the those poor users finally can get rid of the slow slow 384kbps upload speed.

coz, the most 2 irritatting problems of streamyx (for decade) is not cause by technology itself.
The unreasonable congestion in so called "peak hour" (even u paid a very high price for it) and
The unfair treatment to different users (too many promo price for new users, but not for existing users, they can only waiting for the "lucky call"??what the f??? )

they can change the technology, they can change the package name, yet it's role still remain.
some kind of Good Kid vs. Bad Kid thing...

I believe what he meant is the "Tiang telephone" .
If anybody wanna deploy broadband faster, they had to re-use the copper telephone wire, right?

but, i don't think, other isp can use it without the permission and help from tm.
and, if they do co-operate with tm, i don't think the price will be cheap.
just look at unifi-celcom-maxis style.semua sama-sama lah...

On a 5Mbps Unifi I get 3.3Mbps while normal speedtest is 4.91Mbps.

guys i think my router kaput already (dir 615) and used it more than 2 years.. can i go to any tm branch and ask for free replacement?

yeah landline can , last time they waive the rental fees so now only have to pay the usage
