Hi all, any problems with Unifi these days?
*
I was not able to access internet in last Tuesday (12/07) and Thursday (14/07) within 8pm to 11pm @ Seri Kembangan.
There was no IPv4 address allocated when I checked from TM stock wifi router, only have IPv6 address but still not able to access internet. rclxub.gif

I complained to TM CS and go through troubleshooting with them, yet still the same problem..
I tried again by 11:30pm later and all back to normal. This symptom happened again on two days later, not sure why. confused.gif
TM will send technician come over in tomorrow to check this problem, cause he said there are few unifi user in my area experiencing similar problem. hmm.gif

Seri kembangan user here. Didnt face the same problem as you but always need to load for a moment, even google and facebook also.
*
Well... I already done all the troubleshooting myself for that two hours.
- reboot wifi router numerous times (including waiting for 5-10 minutes each time rebooted)
- reconfigure unifi PPPOE profile from fresh (*I have password)
- get TMCS remotely reset/kill session (also require wait for 5-10 minutes)

Somehow problem still the same, finally it work after 11:30PM, not sure what was going on as it auto-work correctly. No problem on Friday, Saturday and today.

If they didn't show, complaint here

Follow-up my case... TM technician came over to look over my problem, although my connection already back to normal.

At first he suspected the DNS I changed some time ago (Google DNS) could be one of the root cause for my problem. I told him that I have been using it more than a year and only last Tue/Thu not able to access internet, which later I found no IPv4 from TM stock wifi router.

After numerous check, he deciced to replace both BTU (Alcatel-Lucent I-240G-P) and wifi router (RG-DLINK-WBR2300) , then informed me to monitor for next few days to observe is there any bad connection appear.

TM CS called an hour later and told me that the problem should have been solved as their technician already replaced both BTU and wifi-router, should there be any issue please call them back, then close my report.

Hope all good for now... smile.gif

While the TM technician in my house in this morning, I asked him about the news that VIP5 free upgrade to 10Mbps without additional charges. He said it is randomly select customer to get the upgrade, primary for those already completed their 24-months contract will be selected. ohmy.gif
Is this true for those already received free upgrade already completed their contract? hmm.gif

My contract not yet finished sad.gif , will hope to get free upgrade to 10Mbps after end of this year. smile.gif

Yes, so far those received already a subscriber for more than 24 months and with no payment issue. Yet, still selected and not all will get even if you fulfill both criteria.

Yup... selected customer. rclxub.gif doh.gif

Hope TM change their policy and give out free upgrade for those already completed 24-months contract and no issue with payment, cross my finger~ smile.gif

Again this problem repeated again three days continuously after TM technician replaced wifi router (RG-DLINK-WBR2300). rclxub.gif

After report to TM for 3rd time... they arranged different technician to come-by in weekend.
He said it could be problem with the wifi-router that I'm using, since he came across similar problem with other Unifi user, the solution: Change to different wifi-router.

He took a new wifi router (DIR-850L) from his car, had it setup and suggested me to keep monitor for next few days, he also said that I can keep my old wifi-router without needed to return to TM.
When I asked him any charges for this new wifi-router, he said it is free, I said: FREE? drool.gif
Well, have to wait for my next bill and check any charges for replacement, hope it is really FREE~ laugh.gif

Also, I hope my unifi connection issue can be solved for good. smile.gif

I did not expect to get free upgrade from existing RG-DLINK-WBR2300 to DIR-850L, which is dual-band some more. rclxm9.gif

I have constant on DSL light. Does it mean I have problem with the router? Any router to recommend?
*
Please do report to TM and let them find out what is the problem.

My last month incident:
WAN light was constantly on but no internet access within 8pm to 11pm/12am in weekdays.
Reported to TM and technician came to replace a used wifi-router (RG-DLINK-WBR2300), still not solved, then came again and replace with brand new wifi-router (DIR-850L), problem solved.

I still left two months to complete 24 months contract with TM, none of my wifi-router and Hypptv still have warranty. Didn't expect they come and replace wifi-router for FREE. rclxms.gif

If you have budget, go with Asus Wifi-Router. brows.gif

**Not DSL light, it is WAN light

The AUTH light on my Huawei HG8240w has never been on since day one.  smile.gif

For mine BTU (ALCATEL-LUCENT-I240G), the light for AUTH is stay on all the time.
Is it because the BTU for landed unit will have AUTH light on all the time? While the BTU for high rise buildings will not have AUTH light on?

Previously I reported that problem with no Internet connection on specific time (8pm to 11pm) on certain day due to PPPoE connection did not get any IPv4 address, then I can get back Internet connection after 11pm within same day, this was very strange incident!

The representative from TM Helpline and TM Technician who assisted me on my problem told me that there will be no charges when they replaced my existing BTU (Alcatel-Lucent I-240G-P) and WiFi router (RG-DLINK-WBR2300), then they replace with new WiFI router D-link DIR-850L after problem reoccurred few days later.

Now my latest UniFi eBill stated that I have to pay additional RM300 for "HyppTV Set Top Box (STB) Replacement Charge"!!! Really WTF! vmad.gif

The price break-down ==> RM149 (VIP5) + RM300 (STB) + RM26.94 (GST) ==> RM475.94 !!! bangwall.gif bangwall.gif bangwall.gif

I already raised my complaint via email at help@tm.com.my for this matter, it should be FREE as they told me previously and now they bill me for it, d*mn TM! ranting.gif
If they told me earlier there will be charges for it, I would not agree with the hardware replacement! mad.gif mad.gif

Received update from TM about the RM300 bill for the STB replacement.

Good news --> Rebate RM300 is approved thumbup.gif
Bad news --> It will only reflect in my bill within next two months. rclxub.gif

Why can't TM instantly give rebate? Have to wait for next two months pula! doh.gif
Anyway... I'm happy with the outcome, just need to treat it as advanced payment for RM300. sweat.gif

Guys, I want to find out have any one encounter a situation where your wifi router was replaced after complaining about issues streaming youtube on mobile devices and pc. But following month was charged for it? Is this normal? I'm on the 30mbps package btw. When I called up CS they said that when device is changed it is normal to be charged. I have reported the case and awaiting further action, any info suggestion are welcome...
*
My understanding is that if your device is within warranty period (1 year), replacement should be free. Please do fill a complaint with TM about it if your hardware is less than 1 year period.

For my case, my wifi router already exceed the warranty and they replaced it after I complaint lost internet connection for certain of time.
Before they replace it I already confirmed with TM/Technician that this is FREE and no additional charge for it, but in my next bill they charged me for RM300 to replace the hardware. wacko.gif rclxub.gif
After filled a complaint with TM, they gave me rebate RM300 for the hardware replacement, great! thumbsup.gif

You can refer to my complaint in Post #2118 and follow-up from TM about rebate RM300 in Post #2147 sweat.gif
