I don't have any problem with the DIR-850L.

Sorry I didn't mention the speed I got is wifi [full speed]. In fact I don't use lan at all.

i believed it more toward to the technician willingness.

I suspect my C5 got problem (or special setting require) ? I noticed it after couple of day it being swapped from innatech

Then not so good experience where within 1.5 weeks i think at least 3-5 times i got to call 100 and each time being given another case ID number etc crap...

told me level 2 tech guy (the guy that swapped me the C5 said so) but seem this person doesn't exist, no call whatever....even 100 told me got (whatever - highly believe 100 just messenger)

anyhow the SAME guy that swap the C5 FINALLY called said his L2 friend MC/ No free (crap) BUT believed in order for him to close my case, he got to attend the case else 100 will keep send him report and i keep getting SMS to rate the service.

First he told me he will come tomorrow to SWAP C5 to 850L *(said his L2 fella told him), i told him NO NO NO, i want him to bring another C5 to test to confirm izzit my C5 faulty or some settings miss out...then he BS told me alot ppl complaint C5 got problem like mine...that why he bring 850L, i told him i also heard alot said 850L is worst than C5...

Die die he said ok ok will bring another C5 tomorrow. Hope no flykite else i sure get back to 100 again

alternative just LOCK the MAC address you use..any other CANNOT connect la...dun be lazy and wait f or spoon feeding...

How is the performance for archer c5 and c2600?
My current wireless router same as yours dir-850l, it can't achieve 100mbps download speed when i was at downstairs while the wireless router located 1st floor.

What's the problem?

Is your phone/computer supports AC? If not surely you will not get 100Mbps speed.

Testing download speed by using samsung s7e at 1st floor manage to get 100mbps, but at ground floor only half of the value 50mbps.
Upload speed maintain at 50mpbs.

i located my C2600 on the middle of 1st floor. all corner of 1st floor manage to get full 100mb, on ground floor, middle of the ground floor manage to get full 100mb too, front and back of the ground floor can get around 60-80mb. My house build up size is 1200sqf x 2.

As for C5 i manage to get full 100mb on 1st floor, for ground floor i didndt test yet, but it sure better than Dir-850L, as Dir-850L cant get full 100mb on certain area on the 1st floor.

the wifi performance it all depend on your house layout. maybe for your case is different.

PS: tested with Samsung S6. my friend old iphone 5s cant even get 50mb on 1st floor, around 5m away with a wall in between the router.

There are many factors that may affect your wifi speed. Call 100 to request a C5 and test again.
