Banks will consolidate your cash back by end of next month.

All banks that give cash back will work this way.

why is it so difficult for UOB to amend the correct transaction date after so many working days has passed?
It's clearly mine was on 1st June 745 am, yet UOB still show transaction date on 31st May.

Is this an online transaction? Cos it might be using a foreign payment gateway.

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jun 16 2016, 04:59 PM)
I had the same encounter too when I called last month. Based on some feedback from this thread, I knew it is based on statement date but due to I was in overseas and had nothing to swipe in April statement cycle, so I got charged with this monthly charges.

Nevertheless, I called and asked for clarification because I did make one transaction on 8th April and my cycle is 12th April to 11th May. So technically, I had one transaction in the month of April but not in the statement cycle. I was expecting answer that my request will be rejected and I will further argue based on T&C. However, the CS put me on hold for a while and after speaking to her superior, she told me it was a glitch in the system and it should be based on calendar month. They had waived it right away... laugh.gif So, I cannot argue further. tongue.gif

So experience from others tells, it is based on statement cycle. Don't trust the CS so much, some said statement while some said calendar month. laugh.gif

I just receive my VOX card, it's my 2nd card from UOB after One card so I assume it would follow my One card statement date.

But I haven't activate it yet as I plan to swipe it after my statement date so I can have additional 1 month to pay. If so better I activate it after my statement date right as I don't want to incur any charges due to no transaction in statement month.

Mine is a TWG voucher as appreciation of the feedback (a.k.a. complaint) I gave them for their continuous improvement. tongue.gif

hmm.gif I think the statement cycle is fixed for your case, so it doesn't matter when you swipe. Correct me if I'm wrong, you can always check with CS. Nevertheless, if you really got charged, you can call to get it waived, I guess you have a valid reason because you are a new user.

I was told by CS that JOMPay was not counted as Retail transaction, hence being charged monthly fee.

Is that so? I was told somewhere in the SC credit card thread that every transaction is a retail transaction other than those EPP, repaying or something like that.

Refer to first post. It is eligible for the merchants we have tried.
