oh my..just RM1.3K for n NEW AP set? that's darn worth it! still remember it cost around RM1.8K for an AP set before CNY. thinking of letting my M600i go for a new P-series. should i?

btw guys..there's reli so much diff btwn P990i & M600i in terms of software stability? sunauto, yours still lagging? is there any memory leak or instability? never pay attention to P990i's probs til now. both of 'em running on same version of Symbian UIQ 3, shoudn't be much difference right?

Well I do agree on that. I bought the n series for its multimedia capabilities, especially at the video shooting part. Where as for the p990, I will use it like a business phone as it should be like. Previously was considering p990 or asus p535 but finally decide on p990 due to its cheap price tag

Just pick my n95 last night. As for the p990, will pick it up next week. Price is less than rm1.3k as you guys can search up in phone garage sales. The n95 is really an awesome piece of multimedia device.

Hello, am using the M600i for 3 months and now I've just bought one P990i.

So er, add me in both M600i and P990i's user list. =P

Is it just me or does the P990i's screen has a faint yellow color instead of pure white?

And the ring tone is really soft compared to my W850i.

Guess P990 is never mean to be ahbing'ish ?

Haha but it's really quite soft in SE's standards. My M600i has the same problem.

The W850i on the other hand, scares the shiat out of me when someone calls during my sleep. Hehe.

For the W850, there is a problem, at least for both of my fren who using it, not quite sure if it applies to all. When 3G calling, W850 seems very noisy until cannot heard each other. I have tried out video calling with 6680, W850, N73 , but the quality for W850 is the worst among all. I knew that it wasn't my P990 problem cause when other ppl make video call with W850, it appears the same case.

Hi there...have anyone used the HBH-GV435 with P990i? So how is it?? Good? And how about the life span for the phone? As u know P990i battery drain so fast..hehehe...still I'm loving it every moment....About my software...written is Phone : CX162037 R9EA001, Bluetooth : CXC162058 R5A01, Organiser : CXC162092 R4A13 and CDA : CD162007/8 R4A04. Not too sure about that, because I'm using DiGi on my W850i, no 3G

I am using HBH-GV435, it sound better, clearer and louder compare to my old HBH-608. But the buttons position is kinda odd. I am still getting use to it.

1. Ya the battery life of P990i is average, if there is any activity on your phone during midnight, exm: sms, mms, miss call, reminder and etc. The green lights will blink fast to gain your attention which will drain the battery even faster.
2. Some suggested that by using Tweak Peak (Disable the transition effect) and Swiss Manager/Pro will make P990i performance better. For my case, I have uninstall both applications because I had more problem when both applications installed.

I've found out a trick here, if you click the shortcut and calender icon (the most left icon when flip open) often, it will decrease the RAM amount available which leads to auto restart even if you have Swiss Manager/Pro installed. Avoid clicking the icon will make your phone performance much much more faster and stable.

3. Yes you are using Singapore Chinese enable set like mine here, the firmware is kinda old, the last update was back at mid of February.

guys, i have a bit of problem here......

I just bought a Sandisk 1GB MS card from a forummer(second hand)....

Computer with card reader
i cant format it with my card reader (cycle redunduncy error)....but i can format it with my M600i....

My card reader can access the M2 card, but cannot create new folders, cannot add or delete files....all with errors...

When M2 is in m600i
when i put the card into my m600i, i connect it via cable, i can add, delete, create new folders, everything....

i can move files from my phone to card and from my card to phone...

So i thought it's the M2 adapter faulty....BUT

i cant create folder in my phone, an exclamation mark comes out...no error message, just and exclamation mark....

so what's the problem?? M2 Card? Phone? M2 card adapter? Card reader?

i connect the M2 card in this manner...

M2 card-->M2 MS Pro Duo Adapter-->MS Adapter--->Memory Reader (Dell 2405FPW monitor)

Using this with my ori 64mb card, i can do everything.....so i still dunno if it's the M2 problem or the adapter prob...

I'm a P990i owner myself, I dun really agree with your statement, the N95 is in a different class, the camera, multimedia functions (including VGA video recording), true 16-bit colour screen, etc ...... are some of the strong features of the phone. A P990i should be compared with something like Nokia's N80 IE.

You can't compare the N80 IE or the N95 with P990i.

P990i is a whole different class by itself.

It's a PDA business phone. Not a multimedia gadget.
