I dunno how to upgrade mine but mine is the latest version oledi ...

Can anyone share the SE P990i preset software such as the Golf games / pdf viewer / office application that was suppose to be built in when the phone comes. Cause i have master reset it and all the things just gone . Or anyone can tell me where to download it ?

just check, not all the application gone, at least, the office tools still have. But the 2 games dissapear oledi ....

Added on April 8, 2007, 3:20 pmFor all P990i Owner, when your phone is get connected, the keypad still can use or not ? Cause in my case, when the call is ongoing , my keypad cannot use. This get into problem when need to reload using phone call. Eg, call for 122 to reload from maxis or 1312 to add activ5 . Did you also meet this kind of prob? I am using the latest firmware .

Yeah, thats my problem. Cause wanna enjoy the free video call from maxis, i purposely bought this to play. Everyone here in sabah use Digi, too bad digi no 3g .

Got anyone can solve this problem ? Otherwise everytime wanna add fren to activ5, need to change phone again.

The video call from maxis is totally free for now for activ5 ? or some terms and cond applies ?

Master reset clears all thing. Even the 2 preset game and the demo video.

Haiz, the battery cover is very hard to open, if everytime also need to change phone to set those thing, sure kill me one.

I heard before that there is some kind of tools that can fit in 2 simcard in one phone . Is anyone selling this kind of item ? Or , at least tell me, is this thing really can find in the handphone market ?

My firmware also the world one . Both maxis and digi user, both nokia 3100 and P990 user now too . Thats why need the tools .

But i cannot find the model of SE P990i ....

Transitions option found in control panel, device. Very useful, no need to play the demo video everytime when need the phone to perform faster. My P990 work stable and fast for now .

And, all the software before my master reset last time back oledi .

Another improvement is, the video mode dont have the 10 sec lagging anymore .

About the battery, i heard many ppl in their review said that it had a very poor batery life. But in my case, i cant feel, i think that the ori battery is very strong compare to my previous Moto Mpx3, Eten M500, and O2 atom. At least, playing songs (with earphone), can last for 1 day long and the battery indicator still at the center only. And, i usually charge the phone once every 2 days. when the battery is stil about 20-30%.

I must again praised the new firmware, it is so good and no lagging anymore, even opening those java aplication (which need about 1/2 min in my old NK3660, now only less than 10 sec. And i have put in a lot of application into it (about 15 app, 10 high quality games, including the brother in arms) and no lagging appears at all.

I am using World generic 2 (as indicated by the seus update software) . What is the difference with others ?

Since some of you are asking about the quality of the camera and video, i will post some of my best shot here. Frankly speaking, i havent use such a high resolution camera phone before, it really shocks me when i take the photo at the 1st time, especially the one with the newspaper. The image quality is superb and according to the review post on gsmarena.com, it uses the same camera and lens as the K750. For me , and some of my fren (I show them the pics), the 1st impression of them is very shock, and the following question is "How many MP ??". Based on this, i guess you catch what i mean already.

Yup, the battery is more than enough for me, cause last time (Mpx3, M500, atom), i use to charge the phone everyday and if in heavy usage, charge it every 4-5 hours. Almost 2 years havent been to lyp lor, my place is in kota kinabalu sabah. . Lyn and lelong enough to suit my desire of high tech product already. . Can someone help to check the price ?




P/s : I have already post the video onto youtube, but the server now is loading for my video and guess will finish by 1-2 hrs. I will update the link for you all asap.

I have post some of the pics there, but 2 of it seems doesnt work. Will try it out later . Yes, what i were saying (battery life of atom) was true, i get really mad with it and sell it off after 1 mth of buying it (bought the 2nd hand one in lelong and replace it with the original battery, bought on feb2007 and sell on march 2007)

Instead of the battery, the UI is not so good as well compare with my last Eten M500 which break the LCD screen when i was in thailand. The sound is really crap and the pics taken is really sux if compare with my previous M500. Now, still the best is P990i.

Does anyone here have the problem when connecting the phone via usb cable to the comp by selecting the "Transfer mode" ? This is not a new problem with the new firmware cause i also got this kind of problem with the last firm. The prob is like this, when connecting to the comp and transferring of files are going on, when there is sms came in, the word of the sms will become very weird and sometimes, it doesnt seems to be English word. The words also become very big and fat and cannot even read it.

And everything goes smooth after remove the usb cable, or sometimes, need to reset the whole phone. Did anyone got this kind of problem ?

Just download the update software from SE site, after install, besure you have the flash player install on your IE (not firefox or whatever browser) to run the update. Just follow the onscren instruction, it is as easy as ABC , and, with a very nice upgrading interface.

Is it ? Cause no matter ap set or ori set, all are the product of Se, they are responsible for updating their customer the best they have. I dun think se will bias on this case.

It depends on the application size, if you open the app like dictionary with music or surfing web with music, then the memory is more than enough. If you play those very high definition games (in hp for sure), you cant open another application if the previous one not properly exit. You will need to use the swiss manager to close those application sometimes.

Yeap, if the previous application havent been closed, it will instantly appear a msg that the memory is not enough, not like my previous WM5 phone that will just open the application and then make the whole phone very lagging.

Other version (world 2) cannot have chi input ?

In the case, try to use the swiss manager (latest version 1.5), and on the "Closed application when flip off setting" , it will closed all application that are running and also background application in less than 5 sec. But, the disadvantage is, it will also end the music that are playing when flip off.

Never use the hand writing recognition before, cause it got the full keyboard. For some very hard to find symbol, just tap on the onscreen keyboard, and it got all you want. About updating the AP set, me and one of my fren successfully update it to the latest version, and it works just fine.
