just got an M600i from my bro...hehehe......he gave it to me...he got it with his phone plan in australia....

i think the firmware is quite old....wonder if i can update via SEUS as his is a phone with a lot of brandings.....

just updated my m600i through SEUS.......R9E firmware...

a lot of difference.....because the last firmware i used was very old....i think it's the firsr firmware that came with m600i....hehehe

yeah.....R9E....mine is an australian set...my bro got it back for me......it was branded with "3"....an australian mobile carrier...

i updated mine and it says R9E.....i guess that's the newest for australian set.......when i updated, SEUS said it detected as m600i australia 3 firmware....whatever that means...

hi, i have a bit of problems with my M600i...dunno if any of u guys experience this or not..

i just changed to Maxis 3G(previously on digi)....the reception when 3G is attached is very poor....2 bars at most....but when a call is comming in or when i am dialing out, 3G will be detached and GPRS will be attached, and the reception is full....

The problem is, when i am receiving a call, the call will not be clear for a while(when it's still attached to 3G), then it will become clear (when 3G detached and GPRS attached)...

what's the problem??

any of you guys manage to put in a 2gb M2 card into m600i???

i now 1gb is possible...but does m600i support 2gb?? nothing on SE websites......it only states can support M2 memory cards

guys, i have a bit of problem here......

I just bought a Sandisk 1GB MS card from a forummer(second hand)....

Computer with card reader
i cant format it with my card reader (cycle redunduncy error)....but i can format it with my M600i....

My card reader can access the M2 card, but cannot create new folders, cannot add or delete files....all with errors...

When M2 is in m600i
when i put the card into my m600i, i connect it via cable, i can add, delete, create new folders, everything....

i can move files from my phone to card and from my card to phone...

So i thought it's the M2 adapter faulty....BUT

i cant create folder in my phone, an exclamation mark comes out...no error message, just and exclamation mark....

so what's the problem?? M2 Card? Phone? M2 card adapter? Card reader?

i connect the M2 card in this manner...

M2 card-->M2 MS Pro Duo Adapter-->MS Adapter--->Memory Reader (Dell 2405FPW monitor)

Using this with my ori 64mb card, i can do everything.....so i still dunno if it's the M2 problem or the adapter prob...

if u are selling, how much are u selling it....hehehe......kinda interested here....but i doubt u'll sell below the market AP price.....

anyway, i'm using the M600i now, are there any major differences?? if there aren't then might as well give the p990i a pass.....

it looks like an M600i, but it uses the "P" series moniker.......

i still think that the P1i should be marketed as M700i or some other models which are under the "M" series.....

P1i doesn't resemble a "P" series at all....P series should have a big arse casing(like the P800 until the P990i) and should be the flagship model.

The P1i not only looks small, it's specs is only about or slightly higher than the P990i, therefore they should be marketing it as a "M" series phone....

And i agree with blinky, the P990i replacement shouldn't be this early....

now the stylus is super loose...u shake the phone the stylus will drop out.....

i usually convert mine to MP4....so that my M600i* and my ipod could play it....

*assuming the format supported by m600i and p990 are the same...

errm......i use a mac....so i convert my videos from youtube directly using Podtube....it's a freeware...

i dont know bout windows though....
