hey guyz im not sure if this is the right place to post but i have a compaq V2613AU with turion64 ML-32 1.8ghz.just checked with speedfan and it says that my core temp is 72c
hdd temp 52c and temp1 48c

is this normal?

bought a 3133au last friday! I've headache since!!! 2GB ram and it constantly crashes on windows XP.. installed fedora 5, 50% 50% partition...

what could be the source of the problem? I brought it back to the shop and they tested with 20 new 1gb infineon dimm chips. ended up after 4 hours still no solution then now on a different chipset. doesn't BSD me that much but still happens.. can anyone tell me if I'm missing a driver or something? or just that I'm the only one screwed here with a lemon notebook?

but.. i got some kind of problem here..

DOUBLE POST! --> taken from my post in thread "BSOD in Shutdown"

COMPAQ V3133AU --> my lappy is a new one.. and i like to hibernate instead of shuting down d whole system.. suddenly one day.. i switch on d lappy and the system cant startup..

usually after switch on the computer that in hibernate mode.. Windows would actually resuming the system.. but after 100% resuming... then BSOD popuped (stated that BAD_POOL_CALLER) and restarting..

then i have to choose 2 option either to delete the restoration file and start the Windows or continue restart the sytem (means that resuming again).. then system wil start normally after i chuz to delete the restoration file... but my lappy keep fail to restart in hibernation mode..

at first i'm afraid that my hardware facing some problems.. but i'm sure that they're still new and working perfectly.. so then i try to restore my system using Windows System Restore.. and taaaddaaaa!! the problems solved! now i can hibernate and restart perfectly.. (then i realize in Event Viewer.. i got alots of Error for my AMDK8, disk, DCOM, etc.. izzit related to the driver?)







but what's plays on my mind is.. how could the BSOD with error message of BAD_POOL_CALLER come out? (can some expert explain bout this problem)

rite now ... DAMN !!! battery low already ..
when 1st bought it , normally can get 1 n a half hours using wifi n surf net but now onli 1hour 10 minutes +- ..
anybody here had bought the battery ?
and now having prob with my altec lancing .. the left speaker is surely gives my ear some NOISE and alwayz must ketuk2x to hear the sound . if not then onli can hear the right speaker ..
can claim under warranty rite if the speaker is rosak ?

infineon, hynix chips wont work...
try elpida instead, i had luck with that...
it's not missing drivers, it's just the ram. btw u bought 667 or 533? if u got 667, try downgrading it to 533. 99.9% chance u are better off with 533 instead of 667

myb u can try asking the shop to order nanya rams for you or ask them to return ur cash n u get the ram elsewhere...

i have a fren on 2GB of kingston 533 MHz valueram with hynix chips... so far no problem...

as said, i dunno why, 533 is more likely to work than 667...

hello.it's me n my problems again.uh..want to ask,how long can ur laptop batteries hold when running mp3's or watching movies?cos i just tested for the 1st time after a full charge just now,uhm i just ran winamp.only winamp and from 100% batt it goes down to 74% in just 20 minutes.i dont think this is near normal at all.but if i left it idle and dont run any mp3 or nothing,the battery decreases like,5% in 10 min(this is ok kot).help pls

normally a new 6cell battery can use up 2 2.5hours wif highest brightness and wifi on + some background program (Mozilla or Opera) and winamp .

Ok.. i really don't think it's a chipset problem with the damn thing hanging. I think it's more of the OS Bill problem. With Microsoft XP updated, it's running fine now.. however, I'll let u all know maybe next week.

May i know your Power Scheme ?

1.) Right Click on Desktop ---> Properties
2.) Screen Saver ---> Power
3.) Power Scheme ----> Set it to Portable/Laptop.

After you install latest Nvidia Driver for your notebook.

1.) Look for the Nvidia Tray Icon at the bottom.
2.) There is an option there to optimize your power saving by adjusting the display setting.

70% brightness, Full Screen DVD playing, wifi + Bittorrent donwload.

Can last me around 45 minutes only.

IMO , ur 6cell battery has a high wear level d.

btw, how old is ur notebook ?

Coz for me , my notebook can use for at least 2 hours .

My notebook is only less than 3 months old.

May i know your notebook usage that can last you for 2 hours ?

My v3133 is just 2 weeks old and same here only 45 minutes with battery !!!

What are those base system devices?

on wi-fi to surf net , using mozilla browser , Winamp , and highest brightness . and using words sometimes

or can watch 200minutes movies , 80% brightness.

Your notebook is under heavier usage than mine
How come it can last for 2 hours ?

Maybe there is something wrong with my battery, is there any s/w to benchmark notebook battery ?

maybe u can go back the shop and ask for battery replacement . I believe that ur battery r having some problems now . It shouldnt be so short the usage.

~maybe u hav lots of startup programs . It may consume ur battery too..

btw, is intel gma 950 sufficient to run aero? i'm planning to get V3190TU & would like to install vista in it.
