V3119AU user here,

The only thing i can share with you is , i myself quite satisfied with the stylish design of the notebook body sweat.gif

Performance wise, I counldn't tell you much.
I went for AMD just because i am a budget oriented user biggrin.gif

I am facing some problem with the latest driver of Quick Lunch Button.
There are few users in the same shoe.

One more thing, my LCD SCREEN is always DUSTY,
but there is no dust on my keyboard and other places on notebook.
Why?

LCD always dusty?? hmm mayb LCD is da place tat u seldom touch n juz stare at it??
mayb all da dust at other part of da laptop edi wiped by ur hand by da time u typing or eject da cd rom n etc????

and i oso wanna ask.. while u typing.. do u feel any heat coming out from da keyboard????
and do u knw where is da compaq service centre in lowyat???
*
Of course you will feel the heat if you are using AC power.
The level of heat is acceptable compared to my old twinhead.

There is no HP Compaq service center at Lowyat Plaza.
You need to go to HP Tower, Damasara for sevice.

FYI, HP customer service is very good.

I think RM300 is (return depot) 2 years warranty.
Try to get the quotation of On-Site 2 years warranty.

I extended my warranty to 3 years at RM199 only biggrin.gif
They had promotion last month.

May i know your Power Scheme ?

1.) Right Click on Desktop ---> Properties
2.) Screen Saver ---> Power
3.) Power Scheme ----> Set it to Portable/Laptop.

After you install latest Nvidia Driver for your notebook.

1.) Look for the Nvidia Tray Icon at the bottom.
2.) There is an option there to optimize your power saving by adjusting the display setting.

Hope this helps biggrin.gif

ha sorry for the misinterpretation, it's powernow technology driver

desktop is called Cool & Quiet, while laptop is PowerNow Technology for AMD platform

the software is used to downclock the speed of processor when it's not on heavy usage, like intel speed step technology

i remembered last time a forummer owned a compaq sempron without installing tht driver, the battery only stays less than an hour, after using it, it last 2.00-2.15hours
*
Wow.. i must give it a try ! Where to donwload to s/w ? Googling... smile.gif
