You need to go to branch to apply. They will ask to fill up a form and provide the required documents. I sent the documents via email to the banker.

To approve, your credit card usage must be low at the time of application. I have a number of 0%BT running on my RHB CC. I think that I have used 65% of the credit given to me. The application was straight rejected by the system upon submission when the banker submitted it.

The banker asked to reduce the usage in the card in order for the system to consider the application. The system doesn't care that I paid my bills on time and never paid a single cent in CC interest.

Since my card is constantly getting "top up" with 0% BT, I never had the chance to reapply.

Same experience. But my limit is so low, just RM6k. My monthly salary which is credited to their own bank is multiples higher than that.

Still no bueno. Damn dumb wei.

New CC applications with other banks I have zero relationship with, they close eye give me => RM50k limits.

UOB got 0% now?

New credit card users promotion.

So I managed to BT UOB to MBB Amex 25k. However the merchant told me that only installment payment plan works for AMEX, not lump sum payment. doh.gif

I now have -20+ k in MBB AMEX. Initially i wanted to do BT to MBB AMEX for the credit card (HL CC) i used to make the purchase. But MBB doesnt allow BT if you have -negative balance in the credit card (checked with their live agent chat support). So i then used the EzyCash 6 months installment 0% promotion. Managed to receive 20k in cash in my MBB account.

Question I have is, it seems EzyCash uses the original AMEX credit limit that comes with the card, my AMEX card is still showing -22k. So i guess this amount is stucked in AMEX? But AMEX not widely accepted everywhere. I have few installment tied to MBB (AMEX and Visa) which i plan to request for early settlement to reduce the amount tied there.

Also, once i did the ezycash, somehow Balance transfer option is available now, with up to maximum of 22k. So I can either BT to HL or UOB (request for early settlement of the original BT). Not sure if I can use the excess credit I have in AMEX, to do early settlement of the EzyCash, which i plan to check with the live support agent at 9 am.

Or anyone have better idea what should I do with the funds i have? Things are getting way more complicated now. I could have just BT to UOB for the HL credit card, but wasnt told by the sales advisor that AMEX is only for installment plan at first.

there is no early settlement charges for UOB BT for ongoing ones

Apparently for BTs started from Sept 25, there is a settlement fee of RM 100 and it's a standard installment plan.

Applied for Maybank BT on MAE app yesterday, within few hours STP approved, very efficient. Even more efficient is not yet received payout at CC but already received call from some outsource agency to offer loans 😑 any way to opt out of this?

nope. That's how banks earn money, by selling your data to 3rd party. You have to agree when you sign up for BT.

UOB is annoying indeed.

I didn't get the promotional SMS this month, but I went on to apply for the 0% BT anyway (with the code BT52), and they called yesterday telling me I am not entitled to the promo..... instead offered me BT at 3.99% p.a. doh.gif

I told them the same thing. If there's no 0%, no need to call... which, of course they will ignore anyway.

why would they call you if its 0%?

if its 0%, it will be the other way round, customer queuing to apply for the 0%
