Next month still 5% outstanding (min 50)
*
Does it mean during the 12 months, can pay more than the minimum 5% and settle the balance on the last day (due date)?
How about spread out evenly every month? Eg. 2000/12 = 166.67/mth

Why is their mechanism so weird? hmm.gif

nothing weird, just a different mechanism (and possibly a trap on due date if you cannot repay full balance).

yes, you can continue to manually spread evenly every month cuz it will always be > min 5%/RM50 required.

each type has its pros & cons

if managed properly, it can help your cashflow for few months before hitting the balance lumpsum at the end (once you got $$ to repay in full). sweat.gif

Good if you manage your cash properly. Else when it comes to the end of the BT you would not be able to pay the lump sum. And bam bank laughing all the way to the bank.

Does it make sense to keep taking BT back and forth?

For example - I signed a big ticket item with PBB then BT to HLB since they had the 0% offer.

Then I signed another big ticket item with HLB - and now PBB offering me 0% BT as well so thought to do so.

So long you don't spend the money and have enough to pay back, yes can go merry-go-round.

Don't get tempted to spend more when you look at high balance in bank account, because those are borrowed money from credit card.

And only take bt if you foresee you do not have any plan in short term to get loan or apply new cc because these might have implication on your credit score.

UOB is annoying indeed.

I didn't get the promotional SMS this month, but I went on to apply for the 0% BT anyway (with the code BT52), and they called yesterday telling me I am not entitled to the promo..... instead offered me BT at 3.99% p.a.  doh.gif

I told them the same thing. If there's no 0%, no need to call... which, of course they will ignore anyway.

which means no longer working using the code share out. lol bye.gif last time use to just try with code and went thru. cry.gif

UOB seems very selective with their 0% BT. I guess they know who are the frequent flyers who will pay back in full and no chance to make money.
