Just came back from LY .... it`s true .... the price is increadibly low now. Hmm, might consider taking this since the price difference with D810 is reaching RM1k! That`s almost 30% difference if compared against D810's current price for something that loses in terms of exterior aesthetics, 3G/3.5G and battery mH but wins in terms of processor speed, 256MB flash, business card recognition program, superior pictures.

ha ha ha....LOL......ULTRA aerodynamic design......you sure made my day........

yup.....same opinion here too....i like the elegant design and color and button illumination by p535....color is just nice....design is not too curvy.....the button lights up nicely.....or should I say illuminate nicely....not like some pdaphones that has very bright LEDs that makes it look using cheap stuff...

Well, u`re right. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe it`s because I had a similarly designed PDA before (can`t remember the model) so I got bored of the design pretty early. Nonetheless, if consumers were to really want to pick a bone with this excellent PDA, u can almost always expect to hear some negative comments about its design so I guess it is safe to say that majority (I`m generalising here) feels that the exterior needs a little getting used to. Those who are using certainly won`t mind its looks. Personally for me, I`m interested because for its price, u`re getting specifications that'll give units worth 50% more a run for its money.

@ stimix:  Interesting. The AGPS sounds mafan to use leh. I rather wait for a bit than to DL sat locations every 7 days. I've yet to buy the antenna, waiting for the fren who came with me that day to confirm his decision. I think the MCX smaller antenna package is ok right? I've totally no idea which is suitable and which is not. Wat ya think?

As mentioned earlier no problemo......

BTW..For all users of P535...I have succesfully upgraded my V4.3.0 ROM to 4.3.15 (malaysia) & thereafter Internationa Radio ROm of V4.7.0..

Both upgrades are essential before the upcoming WM6.....Although having hard time to re-istall everything esp the ever com port conflict of GPS Proxy & Garmin )

& FYI..AFTER UPGRADING..EVRYTHING RUNS FASTER INCLUDING ACQUIRING SATELITE SIGNAL....now much faster than globallocate chipset...probably the V4.7.0 done wonders....

Woooo!~ Good news indeed! This will be on the top of my To-Do-List for weekend... nod.gif
I wonder if the ROM upgrade will enhance signal reception of satellite, which negates the need to purchase the ext antenna... hmm.gif

anyway, cheers to the added speed to the already power-derful 535. And like the wise old man from china would say,"Like a tiger with add-on wings" flex.gif flex.gif

Yep.Road tracking tested wth new ROM moment ago..accuray now much-much better than the avg GPS proxy accuracy of 6.7-10M reproted previously to 5.4M-7.8M rite now after the ROM update.... rclxms.gif thumbup.gif thumbup.gif

However the plotted line almost similar wth previous findings i.e much better than Globallocate chopset of HP65 series...proabanly bcos can see only 10 satelites just now compare to normal max 12 satelites...(Dunno why but Evening time around this time satelites always less hmm.gif hmm.gif )

hmm....i congrats and great to hear on those who successfully upgraded the ROM.....hope to hear more good news from you guys....

on my portion....i am the kind of guys who will upgrade only if i can't use the thing....

so I guess i will use the current rom until I find flaws that I can't live with then maybe do the necessary upgrade....

do keep us updated if you guys going for WM6....probably I will only upgrade when that comes out.....

the interface of WM6 looks outstanding....

Ha..just check wth Sonyclie in person..hint..slightly cheaper after taking only 1G instead of 2G....so the RM2099 probably a display unit.... biggrin.gif wink.gif

anyway, i'm interested to know about the Navi 6110...

@ sony: welcome welcome WHITE P535 user, hehe. Are you seriously planning to buy the external antenna and maybe the reradiating unit?
OT: Wat chip is the Navi6110 using that's able to work even with Vcool?
*
What would you want to know about the 6110 Navigator? tongue.gif

I bought it for:

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Am seriously considering the external antenna. But I saw a smaller antenna than stimix's today.

Might opt for that if the price is right. tongue.gif

@ sony: I think this antenna (Code:GART3X ) found on this link http://www.pc-mobile.net/gpsant.htm is smaller than Stimix's. Anyway, this is the package that I plan to purchase, hehe.
There are few Qns about Nav 6110:
1) What GPS chipset it uses?
2) Does it apply malsingmaps or mapking maps just like PDAs?
3) Would owners get access to updated maps from time to time from nokia?
4) Is the user interface more user friendly than mapking's? assuming it doesn't use mapking in the 1st place

haha, paiseh for asking that much... sweat.gif

@ Stimix: What 1G 2G?? What 2099? What display unit...?? rclxub.gif Got cheaper summore than that ah?? Nooooooo.......! icon_question.gif cry.gif unsure.gif

@ tester: The gps port for P535 is unconfirmed but accordingly it is apparently a proprietary port. Therefore, its safer to go with the reradiating unit option bcz reradiating unit is universal and can be used for any type of gps device since it transmit wirelessly. So, interested in getting a unit for yourself? smile.gif

1. SirfStar III chipset , but it's a symbian os phone - so gonna have the same problem as the n95's now ... can't use malsing maps unless u pair with another gps device . The maps nokia provides are very basic (major roads ? only) according to a friend who has it......

if want a nokia with GPS better to forget the navigator and get an E65 and a $300+ gps device to pair ... price will work out to somewhat the same...
or wait another one / 2 months and get the asus for 2000 tongue.gif
