Welcome to the 10TH version of the thread. Last version can be found HERE_Digi's networkDigi operates 2G GSM/GPRS/EDGE, 3G WCDMA/HSPA+ & 4G LTE/LTE-A network. Here is a list of network bands that Digi runs on. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « 900 MHz (886~888,886~888) 2*2 MHz E-GSM 1800 MHz (1760~1785,1855~1880) 2*25 MHz GSM/LTE 2100 MHz (1935~1950, 2125~2140) 2*15 MHz UMTS/HSPA 2600 MHz (2560~2570, 2680~2690) 2*10 MHz LTE
Details of LTEDigi's LTE runs on 1800MHz and 2600MHz. The former offers great coverage indoors & outdoors and can be identified with their cell ID in the range of 20X, the latter offers much better capacity & speed, albeit with much worst coverage. It can also be identified with the cell ID in the range of 10X. Digi's LTE-A network combines this two network bands to achieve theoretically double the speed of regular LTE. RequirementsTo use LTE, there are three requirements, a 4G-LTE enabled SIM Card, a 4G-LTE capable mobile device and you have to be within Digi's LTE network. To use LTE-A, you need a LTE-A capable device and be within their LTE-A coverage area. To check whether your SIM card is 4G-LTE compatible, simply SMS LTE or lte to 20000 Here is their network coverage page. Plans & PackagesPostpaid OfferingsDigi has updated their postpaid offerings once again, head over to their website for the latest information while I update the table.Accurate as of 4th of April 2016 Link here: http://new.digi.com.my/postpaid-plansDigi's postpaid packages are split into two varieties, More Voice & More Internet. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Family PlanAccurate as of 4th of May 2016 Link here : http://new.digi.com.my/postpaid/family-plansExplainationTo have a family line, you need to pick a package from Digi's offerings. After that, you will need to add on RM10 for data sharing feature to be allowed. If the package that you pick has no unlimited calls, you can opt to add on RM10 to get unlimited calls to all network. A supplementary line is RM38 and RM10 for data only SIM. It is not mandatory for you pick RM48(More Voice 28 + RM10 Unlimited Calls + RM10 Internet Sharing) as the plan for your principle line. You can change the base plan to other packages like More Voice 48 etc. You can add on data upgrades to your principle line holder to share it with your supplementary lines. You can allocate a certain quota to any of your numbers. As of right now it is still unclear whether you can subscribe to a plan and add on unlimited calls for RM10 or quota upgrades and not have any supplementary line. Digi's family comes in three varieties. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This is the main principle line. It can be broken down as such, 0.5GB (RM28) + Internet Sharing (RM10) + Unlimited Calls (RM10) DescriptionThis package comes with 0.5GB(500MB) data allocation and unlimited calls to ALL NETWORKS. From my guess, I think the RM28 originates from the postpaid section as their specification matches up. 500MB with unlimited calls and SMS to 3 Digi number. RM 10 is the fee for adding unlimited call or internet sharing, hence RM10 + RM10. So RM10+10+28 = RM48. Unlimited SMS to 3 Digi Friends Free Capture - 30GB Free Music Freedom - 120days iflix - Full Access - 60days DescriptionThis package is pretty self-explanatory, it comes with no data and unlimited calls to ALL NETWORK. You are expected to share data from the principle line holder. DescriptionThis package is a data only SIM card meant for data only devices such as internet modem or tablets such as iPad. You can add additional internet quotas. There are the three options. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Value Added ServicesInternet RolloverCarries any unused quota left from last month to the next. Digi Music FreedomAllows the user to stream music from supported music streaming apps without using up monthly data allocation. A few more notable ones are direct billing to Google Play, unlimited WhatsApp and WeChat and free 30GB capture storage.Prepaid OfferingsAs of 4th of April 2016 Link here: http://new.digi.com.my/prepaid-plans» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by jack2001: Sep 17 2016, 08:24 PM
