Just to share that I make a purchase on shopee for a original griffin 25 and the seller sent a clone unit instead. Name of the shop will be censored to avoid his business since he's pretty quick in resolving this issues and said he mix up the originals and clones.

The easiest way to distinguish clone from originals definitely will be the verification code. The second thing to look for will be the accessories that included, especially the 3 way orange key tools, the colors of the o-rings and the number of units for the grub screws. This set of clone that send to me comes with a sealed packaging, embossed geek vape logo on the plastic casing on top bottom side and very well printing aswell.

3mg 70/30. With that much VG, I rarely use sweetener. It's true that more PG equals more flavour, also throat hit, but that's what coil building are for. Tried going 0mg but I guess I need the nic to get me in gear.

Would say yes and no. Yes in the sense if the item have less chances of fake, perhaps mod, ejuice and if I wanted to buy a clone.

ss316l,dry fire till redhot,from chrome become grey colour after normal or not? cheap material?

Normal, methinks. SS normally does this after being heated IINM. With use, it turns a progressively darker shade of grey too. Plus, if you dry burn it hotter it might even get BLUE... or a whole range of other psychedelic colours lol.

However, if you go beyond a certain threshold, SS DOES start giving out hexavalent chromium (which is relatively toxic), though "a certain threshold" is normally melting point (of the SS) so it really isn't an issue for normal vaping - even dry burning.

Unless your coils are shorting and melting on a regular basis while vaping ler... which already indicates that something is totally effed up with your builds anyway.

The ones you DON'T want to dry burn is Ni and Ti. Those apparently give you toxic fumes even from *JUST* dry burning (though Ti can be pulsed IINM).

glad to hear,btw,i want to share a story of mine last few weeks ago...so i was updating my rx200 firmware to 3.10...check everything looks good,then try dry fire it,my coil instantly melt and break in half and couse some small spark,tons of smoke,check back,the wattage it automatically was set to 250w,guess i miss that i only check my temp setting luckily i test fire 1st and din't vape it

Was that on SS? Hope you didn't breathe in that smoke if it was Bro. Hexachrome is some real nasty crap.

Though TBH, I've had my fair share of SS coil-melting hotspots back when I still built SS contact coils. Did manage to avoid inhaling too much of the fumes... hopefully what did manage to get into me doesn't kill me too much.

Nowadays exclusively running spaced stuff so not too much issue with hotspots and melting SS.

i think i did breathe just alittle bit,not much,i think most of the fume came from burn cotton tho,since that day everytime i vape i check my watt everytime before i vape,who know maybe 1 day the firmware will mess that up

guys, can anybody guide me on how to build a proper SS coil for temp control? what is the resistance that i should build? wire and coil ID?
