QUOTE(nekkidgramma @ Apr 6 2016, 10:20 PM) Makes a hell of an ice breaker that for sure. Imagine you're inviting some people to your house and they see this godforsaken contraption. I'll just say it's a sex toy, makes a better explanation. "So hey, do you use to keep a goldfish or something?" "Uh no." "Turtles then?" "No turtles as well. I use it to make a chemical substance that I inhale to counter my addiction" "Huh... How far are we to the nearest police station?" "But...but...it's just introducing more oxygen to accelerate the oxidation of the ingredients so that...aaah they left!" http://www.lazada.com.my/ce-approved-porta...es-8239203.html |

QUOTE(jameslionhart @ Apr 7 2016, 01:54 PM) As u know, Five Pawns extracts flavors from the actual base ingredients. To get as close as possible to the ori's flavor, you'll have to do the same where feasible. Just use TFA's AP, Kentucky Bourbon and Brown Sugar. The remaining flavorings can be DIY extracted for much less than the cost of 1 bottle of castle long.I've already gone in-depth regarding oak ageing and Madagascar Bourbon vanilla extract so u know what to do there. Suggest making fresh coconut meat and toasted desiccated coconut extracts separately to be combo-ed. For almond extract lightly toast almonds first, then remove the skins and discard. Mortar and pestle into smaller pieces (I avoid using a blender mill cos I don't want heat) and then add to yr VG. Got a feeling that 1.5% Himalayan rock salt saline wouldn't hurt; will try that out in future versions. |

Got some strawberries and blueberries for a bit of extract-making
![]() Washed, hulled and sliced 250gm strawberries ![]() 2x 8g N2O cartridges, 300ml PG (the VG version didn't turn out so well) ![]() Smells like strawberries, tastes like strawberries ![]() After straining, end result was 320ml of strawberry flavoring, approx cost (fruit, PG, N2O) is 7.5sen/ml. The blueberries were not up to standard, so I decided to use them for other purposes. |

QUOTE(94brian @ Apr 9 2016, 07:22 PM) Technically speaking, I made an infusion, not an extract. The pressure of the N2O penetrates the strawberry, and when the pressure is suddenly released, the gas rushes out of the strawberry cells carrying the flavors into the medium(PG). If you're referring to TFA, Capella etc, I'm pretty sure they don't do it this way at all; they just use lab-made chemicals to duplicate the flavor. QUOTE(am3rr @ Apr 9 2016, 08:48 PM) ade jual sample ur own strawberry extract/ I just make for my own use as part of a fun hobby. If u wanna try it (save money and have better REAL natural flavor), get one of these:the only problem with this is the taste not consistent due to different fruit everytime http://www.lazada.com.my/stainless-steel-c...rs-4961311.html (I got mine during lazada's birthday sale..was a bit cheaper then) And u r right about consistency of flavor being a problem. That's where your tongue and fruit-selection comes in, to try and get the best flavor by using the best ingredients u can find. |

Some thoughts which may be useful.
If you must mix by weight: A digital scale is only as good as the quality of the load cell(s). Don't go too cheap. All scales require calibration from time to time. Invest in a set of calibration weights. Most weighing machine shops can also calibrate your scale for a small fee. If you're buying from a physical shop, ask the seller to calibrate the scale for you as part of the deal. Watch the seller calibrate, if possible. When you see the scale measure small weights and maximum weight accurately, you'll have greater peace of mind. Features like user-selectable auto-off and backlight on/off are handy to have. I own several digital scales ranging from 100g max to 50kg max weight. None of them are used for mixing juices. Call me antiquated, but I prefer using graduated PMP cylinders. PMP is polymethylpenthene...I may have spelled it wrongly; the material is non-wetting and there is no meniscus created in them, easier to read accurately. |

QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 11 2016, 08:58 PM) Tested all the batteries on this Cuboid mod....same. Tested this battery on my Cube ll and Kangertech....good. Maybe u are right....maybe is the Cuboid safety feature. It show battery weak but still can fire. Are your batteries married? Maybe you have 1 which is weak.Anyone using Cuboid 150w here? Got this issue on the coklat battery. 100% battery no problem. Only <50% battery it show "battery weak" when firing on 35w and above or firing above 10A. If <50% battery....fire at 23w on a single coil tank no problem. LG HG2's are rated for 20A continuous output. Joyetech website says: "We kindly recommend high-rate 18650 cells with rated discharge current≥25A." If you have any genuine Sony VTC 4's, try using them in the Cuboid and see if it makes a difference. |

QUOTE(mulut99 @ Apr 11 2016, 09:20 PM) How to know the batteries is married? If your batteries for 1 mod are kept together, used together and charged together, then they are considered married batteries. You're doing things properly I bought all this battery in a pair. Charge them in a pair also. 1st pair when buying Cube ll 2nd pair buy it as a rotating battery for my Cube ll 3rd pair buy it when i bought this Cuboid mod. I dont have Sony VTC 4 battery to test it You may find this to be a good read: http://guidetovaping.com/2016/01/10/how-im...ried-batteries/ As you may have read before in previous versions of this thread, I've expressed deep interest and liking for the Cuboid...and I really want one. But I only have 2 remaining VTC4's...all the others died from old age liau, and the rest of my batts are LG HG2's and a few joenida shiny wrap "HG2". I guess it's time to go hunting for genuine Sony batts b4 I get that mod. Maybe other Cuboid owners can shed some light or give input into this battery matter. |

Last year I had said that Koh Gen Do cotton seemed to taste and work the same as the much-cheaper Muji.
Last week, someone raised the possibility that the 3 pads of Koh Gen Do I had bought may have just been repackaged and renamed Muji cotton, hence the similarities. Only one way to find out for sure...get Koh Gen Do direct from Japan. A kind friend got a bag of it for me and it's now in Singapore. Will pick it up later this month and compare. ![]() |

QUOTE(Xnet @ Apr 15 2016, 12:54 AM) Your notebook screen must be very clean! Maybe u could do a post on the physical differences between Muji and KGD, as well as a taste/wicking performance comparison if possible? If you could also state where genuine KGD can be obtained in M'sia, it could help other vapers. If necessary, I'll also chime in with my own comparison, but that can only be in late April or early May after I collect my KGD. The more I think about it, the more I feel that the "Koh Gen Do" I bought last year was nothing but repackaged and renamed Muji cotton. It wasn't much money (RM10 for 3 pads if I recall correctly), but still it's not a nice feeling to have been deluded. |

QUOTE(6oLsh0i_6o0z3 @ Apr 15 2016, 03:26 PM) I'm going for 100mg / 100ml, you only need a few drops, save me quite a bit. Advise u to first look into Kastam regulations on the importation of nicotine. But I'm not going to say it's cheaper it is still a tad expensive tho. 100ml / 100mg should be below RM100 It is what it is, no other choices. I'm thinking to buy nicotine from HiLIQ(China) later, Just to try it plus it's way cheaper than over here. |

QUOTE(jameslionhart @ Apr 15 2016, 04:14 PM) Anyone tried Drago Egyptian Cotton before? Good or not? Saw a vendor selling it at Rm 50 for one ball (25 gram). Mahal nia... I believe I saw it in CloudGear, SS15 late last year. If memory serves me correctly, it comes in a roll, not a ball (but I guess it kinda looks like a ball when rolled up). They're very helpful at that shop, and the sales assistant uncoiled a roll and told me to take a closer look. No discernible odor, and it felt like cotton (no surprise) in my fingers. He warned me that once I used that cotton, I wouldn't want any other kind. Yes it is expensive. After a short argument in my head, the poorfag cheapskate in me won and I settled for another bag of cheaper Team Vape Lab cotton which was about half the price. If you're feeling flush with dosh, do give it a try and let us know yr thoughts! |

QUOTE(jameslionhart @ Apr 15 2016, 08:53 PM) First practice on normal cheap cotton balls (but don't use them to actually vape unless they been boiled before to get rid of bleach etc).Gently tug and tease the cotton ball into a sheet that's more or less even in density and is the desired thickness. Take your time and use a light touch. Spread out a dry towel (microfiber is best), place your sheet of cotton on it and gently stroke it with the palm of your hand to roll it (no sexual innuendo intended ok?). Your goal is to make a tube of cotton which is even and firm, but not too tightly packed, and the diameter is double that of the inner diameter of your coil. The friction between the towel and cotton sheet should be enough to prevent the sheet from sliding around as you shape it. Once you gain confidence with practice, then move on to the high-priced fancy cotton. It's really not too hard, I promise. |
