C2D is different story la. Different tech, higher DDR2 bandwidth, 2 cores, higher L2 cache, better chipset.....etc. 3dMark loves new tech....

anyway, i love your 3.0E....hehe....hows the superPI??

Darn, my mobo already RIP. Juz now i call Convergent Distribution asking the status of it and they told me that mobo cant be fix. cry.gif


So if any1 here would let go their mobo 478 socket do PM me. smile.gif

Why not you try on the motherboard repair service in the garage sales there?I think there are 2 persons are offering this service.

yeah agree with you...nowadays when school starts gettin really busy no time to even game properly laugh.gif and i use more of the laptop instead on my p4 laugh.gif thats why now everything running at stock blush.gif

im sure they're still some people selling their s478 mobos either in garage sales or even some pc shops so why not try gettin one there? thumbup.gif

yeah, agreed with him to. i got a friend at my hostel using c2d 6600 oced to 3.2ghz. but when using his pc, seems i can't even see the diff compared to my pc... sweat.gif sometime lagging do occur when open some application..bt while gaming, of course got better performance... smile.gif

I have found 3.8GHz Prescott but it's an LGA 775. doh.gif doh.gif Sorry for being mistaken and made you felt excited for a moment to get the proc.My fault. doh.gif And the EE proc you are bidding is so so expensive? blink.gif

last year got forumer selling P4 3.4EE soc 478 for rm800.... smile.gif dunno either that proc still exist or got burned.... sweat.gif

if you said about the responsiveness of the system, then a clean, tweaked, and lean window is more important than clock speed. Maybe your friend's pc is fully loaded with background services/programs. A friend of mine fully tweak his windows xp and its more responsive than my current rig, and that time he is using Athlon 1GHz@1.2GHz blink.gif, 1GB SDRAM really solute him notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

3.4EE is really rare gem, even found the seller also hard to get it coz of its high price. sweat.gif 300USD??? Even it state at 250USD i also wont consider on that. 250*3.7 almost 1k la...NO WAY~~~if got that cash better save some more and move to C2D.

SuperPI is a program to benchmark your cpu on how fast the cpu do the calculation. google for it and try to bench it. smile.gif

ur 1MB only 50s, try double channeling ur memory, it will increase bandwidth
