bro... i so susah put alu netting and all, just to prevent dust going into the casing... if put a intake fan... i might as well take down the whole side panel and put a stand fan towards the CPU tongue.gif

tried that before, works, but every once in a while have to clean up all those dead cockroach and stuff from the case...
using CoolerMaster Dream X3 now... not a high performance one... just low speed low noise only...

Err... Dream X3 is a very so so heatsink. It is quite impossible to cool down your 3.0E smile.gif

if possible just direct screw the fan on the alu net(promised that wont spoil the net), blow air on your HFS. brows.gif

my friend tried to put 4 fans on his panel like yours, 2 intake 2 exhaust. Not so loud if you using silent fan. i still remember his 7000rpm delta fan playing hard rock concert on the alpha cooler laugh.gif

currently i open my side panel and a stand fan blow directly to it. lucky dont have cicak lipas. My prob now is the dust. tongue.gif

Actually essembling a PC is very simple only
You follow the steps in ur manual book, then u will know how to assemble any kind of motherboards, its just that you need to be careful while plugging in the wires for the HDD light and etc

correction, not 80mm, it's 60mm, but currently retired. cools very well, sounds very loud, but push lots of air, sweat.gif Its for cooling the legendary hot @ss Athlon Thunderbird, don't play play laugh.gif

Anyway, recently changed to P4 3.06 (478), though its a bit late, got it 2nd hand. thumbup.gif

Yes, vibrates, but reduced using dampening and ducting. left the loud air pushing sound through the massive heatsink fins only. doh.gif

Overall, can't complain much though, since it's a poor man's rig when i was still in college, have to make the best out of what's available. rclxm9.gif Now going the silent route, using Zalman coolers and CM's case fans.

P4 temp dropped a lot by replacing the low profile OEM sink that was in the COMPAQ system with Zalman Fatal1ty FS-C77. Reason for the increase of temperature is replacement of p4 2.4Ghz that only consumes 60W compared to the current 3.06Ghz that takes 82W. More wattage, more heat. The CPU is also HT by default, but since the ABIT BG-70 (COMPAQ OEM) i845 mobo does not support HT, it only performs in single logical CPU mode, which also increases the temp (according to findings from several techsites that confirmed temp increase by disabling HT on HT CPU) since no load balancing is done during normal operation. But now all is good, idling 46C, load 52C, despite my mATX casing. Previously idle 54C, load 60C++. Sleeved the PSU for better airflow in the mATX casing too.

Also installed Zalman Fatal1ty FS-V7 on the 7600GS AGP. Before: idle-52C load-65C++. After: idle-46C load-54C.

You're probably refering to my previous heavily modded setup, eh bro? Yeah, just use simple logic to improve airflow. Below are some examples on what I have done to my current extremely limited space, mATX casing. Modded side panel. thumbup.gif
