I guess overclockalbert has help me out from my doubt.
@pengster
Well i would say in long run it will benefits. I myself not really test the difference from a low VAGP and high VAGP, but since it is proven I guess it is better. smile.gif

If that's the case will try it when free. smile.gif Hope after increse the vAGP can increase more FSB. rclxms.gif

hmm.interesting.i cant load the pics either.i wonder if upping the vAGP really helps to stabilize the system at high FSB speeds.

Back from a long run outstation work! tongue.gif Hm.. About upping the vAGP, i do try before with my system. I dont know whether is true or not but i do feel the stability of increasing it. i upped mine from 1.5v to 1.6 and i could prime my rigs in 3.65Ghz, 1:1 ratio with Orthos priority 10 for 5hrs without shutting down. Before increasing the vAGP my system failed on priority 10 priming after 30mins priming.

Thats what i feel by upping the vAGP! drool.gif

Wah so nice.Then i must give a try on this already. You try to raise it to 1.65v or not ? Will this make the northbridge hot ?

My default vAGP is 1.5v and i up 1v for safety purpose lo. Try try ma.. laugh.gif Hm.. My mobo only have 1.5v, 1.6v, 1.7 & 1.8v. Cant get to 2v thou and also dun have 0.5v. Hm.. Didnt try to touch my NB lo.

And i go attach a CM blue ice at there thus i guess it wont go so hot. And i do have a system fan which is pulling out the hot air from the system. For me case, the temperature still in control.

For my board, increasing Vagp does help stabilise FSB. But most overclockers say that ATI graphic cards are very sensitive to voltage, because it puts more stress on the MOSFETs on the card.

To add salt to the wound, I replaced one of the MOSFETs on my 9700 PRO with a lower quality version because one accidentally got ripped out when I pulled the heatplate off laugh.gif

I just changed to a new LianLi aluminium case yesterday, temperatures definitely have dropped since my old casing. To add, I'm lovin' the brushed aluminium biggrin.gif

But since my new casing has no sideport to blow cool air directly to the processor, my processor fan rose from 2700 RPM to a warp-speed 4500 RPM! It spins so fast till the whole casing starts to rattle and vibrate. And to add, the fan now sounds almost like a tornado inside... sad.gif

I still haven't try on the vAGP yet.Haha. My P4P800-X is just using the stock vCore,i think stock for northwood is 1.525v right ? Yesterday i read the review i posted regarding vAGP saying that my Abit board is report inaccurate vcore and vdimm as the software got a bit error in reporting the correct voltage. rolleyes.gif Now only i know the software got error in reporting,haha.

Is the new processor any different from the old one other than revision? If it's a Northwood to a Prescott, the computer might not boot due to the different power requirements or BIOS support.

3:2 divider really bad,the memory is running at extreme low frequency sweat.gif Maybe u try on 245 rather than 250 first,see it's going to stable or not.
