If i'm not mistaken the latest version of Asus Probe cannot be supportted by P4P800-X. I'm just using the version from the CD installer only.Maybe you can check and see.

Sorry to ask ... Socket 479 does exist? I didn't realize or read the title of the thread properly.

YEs it's exist.Socket 479 is a special socket that for mobile processor(P4 M ) to be utilise on certain Asus mobo in socket 478 only.Very rare items.

i think the version doesn't matter with all our mobo...
coz the version of asus probe that our's mobo cant support is asus probe 2...

i just doubt that the mobo really limit me from getting above 3600MHz referring to the screenshot. still wondering....

me having the same situation oso coz i think that's the limit that the manufacturer set.
and i heard that actually can overtune it to higher to 3.8 (maximum) but i don know how...
wat version bios u using??

Yes,i was mentioning on that max speed supportted by our mobo. Well regarding the Asus Probe version,i forget already which version cannot be supportted by our mobo,maybe is Asus Probe 2.

I think all P4P800-x are having the same max. speed support at 3.6GHz. biggrin.gif So if our proc o/c then can run on 3.4GHz is already preety good on it. Just my sense.Between is the time to open up another V4 already. cheers.gif

Don't know,i'm doubt on this also as i never go above 3.6GHz on this mobo.If there are people go beyond 3.6GHz means the software max. speed is not true,maybe it's just a figure inserted there.

i think it's maybe just a reminder from Asus for not to o.c the proc gila2 kot .. laugh.gif or it will damage the proc n mobo ... i think lar ... sweat.gif
