The real thing is to do it manually in the regedit

i like axp. actually before i have 478, i used Duron then upgrade to axp 2000+ with sdram. use for 2years++ it ko coz kena thunder.

i think when i migrate from 478, ddr2 is going to phase out already. technologies changing too fast. 

Willi is 478. P4a with 100fsb. some of my friends still use p4 1.5GHz i think is willi. Still strong for normal office use.

the northwood 100fsb P4a 1.8GHz easy go to 2.4GHz on stock. I like that

Maybe you can try 1.5GB single channel since you didnt really oc it. who knows you can oc more using single channel.

i have doubt that your 6800GS cause the issue. is it the ram imcompatibe?

Maybe your ram slot or your ram having some prob as you mentioned those ram were from your faulty msi mobo. I think its better that you test your ram with memtest. Just my 2 cents.

@pengster,irangan's RAM is BT chipset right?You are also using same mobo with kabukiawie?

he is using same as mine.

for what i think is that his 2 sticks of ram incompatible each other. so its still fine when run at stock but when oc the issue shown up. This is what i can think.

if you have time, just try to oc just using 1 stick of ram, see how it goes. if you can oc well, then quite sure that incompatible between ram together. Try play around with divider(the dram speed). maybe you can score better with different divider. Thats my point of view.

Darn, now im torn in between x850xtpe and 7600gt.

Or i just keep the money for other purpose? Maybe this range of gc will be my last upgrade.

KahLoon,why bother to get X850XT PE ?This card is an old architecture card and only support SM2.0 . 7600GT is way better than X850XT as it has SM3.0 . The X850XT card the same price with 7600GT ?

the x850xt much more faster than 7600gt. but in terms of graphics quality and eye candy, 7600gt beat crap out of x850xt.i do own x850xt agp before, quite satisfy actually, but lack of sm3.0 really becomes draw back of this card...
