QUOTE(BOTAK_WAI @ Mar 30 2007, 12:15 AM) no need leh... your method like shortcut loh because you avoid going into regeditjust create a text file and enter the info then rename into .ini file then copy to windows/system32 folder. The real thing is to do it manually in the regedit But freaking mafan ler, ur method is way way easier This post has been edited by shinjite: Mar 30 2007, 01:00 AM |

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Mar 28 2007, 11:55 PM) Willi is 478. P4a with 100fsb. some of my friends still use p4 1.5GHz i think is willi. Still strong for normal office use. Yeah i'll try to fit in the other stick of ram later..now really lazy to use my pc,prefer to online with the laptop.only when heavy gaming then use my pc the northwood 100fsb P4a 1.8GHz easy go to 2.4GHz on stock. I like that @Pengster Maybe you can try 1.5GB single channel since you didnt really oc it. who knows you can oc more using single channel. i have doubt that your 6800GS cause the issue. is it the ram imcompatibe? Maybe your ram slot or your ram having some prob as you mentioned those ram were from your faulty msi mobo. I think its better that you test your ram with memtest. Just my 2 cents. i think the ram that i bought from irangan doesnt work well with my older DDR400. last time i managed 2.7Ghz with a cap ayam psu and the same rams with the P4P800x leh.now after adding a 6800GS and change the old stick of ram to a newer one then cant liao |

P4 HT is not dual core, single core but with 2 threads running parallel only
If running dual core is the Pentium D liao and without HT This post has been edited by shinjite: Mar 30 2007, 09:07 PM |

BOTAK_WAI,i try your link to set the system property.Well it really works,i think those OEM dealer like HP and Dell also using the .ini file like that inside the system 32 file there.I think my S423 even older than your S478,i bought it during September, 2001.
@pengster,irangan's RAM is BT chipset right? You are also using same mobo with kabukiawie? |

he is using same as mine.
for what i think is that his 2 sticks of ram incompatible each other. so its still fine when run at stock but when oc the issue shown up. This is what i can think. @Pengster if you have time, just try to oc just using 1 stick of ram, see how it goes. if you can oc well, then quite sure that incompatible between ram together. Try play around with divider(the dram speed). maybe you can score better with different divider. Thats my point of view. |

Thats my point of view. gonna try to add in the other stick of ram and oc again and if its still the same then try the old setup again which is 266+400 now im just wondering is it better to run 1GB @ DDR333 DC or 1.5GB @ DDR266 single channel.but with abit tighter timings. |

haha.... try to get your sweet spot.
if really really cant oc more. then running 1.5Ghz with tighter timing will be a better choice. Dont waste the 512MB ram. |

KahLoon, why bother to get X850XT PE ?This card is an old architecture card and only support SM2.0 . 7600GT is way better than X850XT as it has SM3.0 . The X850XT card the same price with 7600GT ?
