charged properly...99+15+15+5%tax.....hehe

on top of it...it has stable connection than any other wireless broadband i've tried...

i'm happy with it.... yippiee !!

QUOTE(AskarPerang @ Jun 27 2009, 11:25 PM)
do you guys need to make RM100 advance payment when you subscribe to this maxis data only unlimited package sim card?

I'm existing maxis postpaid user by the way.
*
rm100 deposit needed if u wanna subscribe data only...

but if u wanna use as value added service to maxis postpaid (any value plus plan) u dont need to put deposit... just activate it and double check with them twice...so that u'll save your ass by being charged as pay-per-use...

the stories didnt stop there. at the signup counter, the CS told me to hv postpaid line in order to get the RM99 data only plan. then i immediately FORCED him to call his supervisor to entertain me. and the supervisor did all by himself to register my RM99/month Data Only SIM EVEN THOUGH i don't hv Maxis postpaid at all.
*
I experienced almost the same thing...the CS dunno what to do...the Supervisor gave A,B,C instructions tongue.gif

Btw...I like your signature!!!

QUOTE(dgtel2 @ Jun 27 2009, 10:42 PM)
it is risky to apply multi1sim if the maxis exec that register ur account doesn't know what he/she should key in the computer keybaord.
when i was at the reception, i already told her to signup for Maxis3G DATA ONLY NOT THE Maxis Broadband with that stupid "Rock" E220 modem promo. she then FORCED me to directly goto the counter having that stupid colourful E220 modem promo booth.

luckily that guy in the booth understand the difference between Maxis3G and Maxis Broadband. He then instructed that stupid receptionist girl to photocopy my IC and get the waiting number for Maxis3G. that was at the receptionist counter. Maxis has made its first impression bad, really bad.

the stories didnt stop there. at the signup counter, the CS told me to hv postpaid line in order to get the RM99 data only plan. then i immediately FORCED him to call his supervisor to entertain me. and the supervisor did all by himself to register my RM99/month Data Only SIM EVEN THOUGH i don't hv Maxis postpaid at all.

u better double triple confirm back to Maxis to check ur account details. if i were u, i would just go back to terminate and restart a fresh new registration the week after.

when i applied my multi sim 1 line, i said to the cs, "if i been charged to pay-per-use to any of these simcards, i will not pay for it..." if i remember correctly, i repeated that sentence to warn her 5 times...

lucky for me she is a knowledgeable cs..... so far my bills all according to what i insisted.... she even share the same birthday with me & using the same phone model as i'm... wub.gif credit to her....

i got 2 sims extra apart from my main sim.... go apply yourself la... anybody can do it what...

i dont want to kacau my current billing system... i set perfectly for me...

i think they cannot simply add another multi sim 1 line...they must replace all my current main sim, & both 2 of my existing multi sim 1 line as well...

it is because its must be register altogether at the same time... because i notice my main sim a bit different from the 2 multi sim 1 line sims...

Hey guys, mind to clarify something for me?

Firstly, is it possible to use the SIM card in the wireless BB modem?

Secondly, can somebody please post their speed from here?

http://bandwidthmeter.maxis.com.my

Or a speedtest?

Thirdly, what are your thoughts on this? Better in terms of speed than the WBB? Possible or not? And is the speed constant?

that question has been answered numerass time.

NO.

you can't put use 3G sim into your WBB modem.

nay.

maxis should carefully studied their multisim plan. it's being abused.

Sorry for the repetitiveness, I guess. Loading this page already takes alot of time...

Also, if you can't put 3g sim into WBB modem then how else other than using phone as modem can we connect to internet with it?

Yes. I am using Maxis3G with the WBB ZTE MF600 Modem smile.gif But cannot work sims from other Telco.

Speedtest results - arranged from highest speed to lowest =

Speedtest #1: Something wrong with the test...doesn't make sense..even I don't believe this!
user posted image

Speedtest #2: Now this is more realistic. I get this speed when I download from RS.
user posted image

Speedtest #3: Worst come to worst, you'll get this speed...
user posted image

Speed...more or less the same. The big difference is that Maxis3G has no FUP..meaning no throttling. But you have to pay a little extra plus you'll have to buy your own HSDPA modem....

For the usual downloads Maxis3G is ok but for online gaming or if you heavily upload via FTP...M3G is not a feasible option since the upload speed is low.

Okay then, will do. Anyway, I never said I wanted to try.

What are your comments about the speed anyway?

New update on this thing.

I went to gardens and confirmed the pricing and called maxis customer service.

I applied a multi-sim card with the primary card as a only data card usage(Rm99 unlimited usage). I have 2 sim cards currently.

The charges has changed, not as what people said here, it is now.. :

Rm99 (Primary card) + Rm15 (multi-sim charges) + Rm10("package for sup-card) = RM 124 + 5% tax

As for the RM10 package for sup-card, i dont see this charges in maxis's Multi-Sim F&Q page. I will call them up again later

confirmed with 2 CS, now need 2 wait the bill to arrive i guess.

Wow...so fast...you use Power Plan arr?

Btw, P2P now cannot already....last time can. But there is a way around....get a VPN, Socks5 Proxy or do SSH Tunneling to bypass the restriction.

Currently, I'm SSH Tunneling to a server in the US to listen to Pandora smile.gif
