i went to maxis yesterday and my doubts got sorted out there

the package can only hav ONE multisim.
the billing will be like this rm99 (data unlimited main line) +rm15(multi sim)+rm15(data service sup. line)+5% tax, if it is a full cycle bill
total = rm135.45

well u cant blame ppl for trying to get better internet options. not like u own maxis. others pay for the services like u do.

that's why pay-per-data usage is essential

so that idiox doen't come out with others pay for the services like u do when they're the one hogging the network

For the last time...after I've read thru all the posts, it is confirmed that those who has NO account with Maxis AT ALL, CAN apply for "Maxis 3G Unlimited Data Only Without Voice" at RM99/month (+5% tax), just like U-Mobile RM68 Data Plan only....true...?

If the above statement is correct, then, based on my opinion, Maxis will attract many new accounts IF the end-users know the bad things about FUP...

Hmmm... maybe I should put my signature as "Banned FUP"...lol...

If you are only looking at Sim Card-only broadband from maxis, why don't you check this out?


Maxis Sim card only


After rebates, it works out to be about RM68/month. 2 Gig cap per month. Totally no contract. Can terminate anytime. speed is 3.6mbps

The answer to my own question is, "YES!"

Yes! You can sign-up for "Maxis3G Unlimited Data Plan Without Voice" for RM99/month EVEN THOUGH you DO NOT have any Maxis account.

Actually, I have successfully use the "unet" APN in my E220 modem. Testing my company VPN right now. So far so good.

Therefore, now :

Voice call = Celcom (RM30/month)
Data1 = Maxis3G (RM99/month)
Data2 = U-Mobile (RM68/month)

Will ditch Maxis3G or U-Mobile whichever fails to fulfill my requirements....

Voice call ported my siowcom postpaid to maxis , got Youth Club package instead @12 cents/min
the 39 cents shown on my ac bal was gifted by Maxis for me to make a first call to activate the new port-in line

Data1 = Umobile rm68/mth
Data2 =Maxis 3G internet one of the 2 Multisim @ rm64.50/mth (rm99+rm15+rm15 devided by 2)

For voice call, i still prefer Celcom. My office using Maxis and EVERYWHERE I go outstation (remote or city area), Celcom coverage and clarity are always better than Maxis even after swapping SIMs between two different phones. (I'm not bias, this is my experience...).

Now based on my "analysis" for data, U-Mobile wins at the moment. Whether direct download, youtubing, and P2Ping, U-Mobile always outperform Maxis3G. The only good thing about Maxis3G is Dynamic IP which can RapidSharing. But I have company's VPN, so using U with VPN also can RapidSharing...

Gonna give Maxis3G another chance on other sites/locations especially at my office and at night/midnight times.

abt the voice call, yes celcom wins hands down , but i am a light user of voice and was "forced" to sign-up my VIP number under celcom back then. Now i ady ported out to sav on the access fee jor

abt maxis 3G, if u are using in the Klang Valley, yes the congestion is there BUT the upside is the Dynamic IP tat lets us DL fr RS and MU..

fyi, Maxis max out here @2.50 MBps and Umobile max out @1.40 MBps

Maxis staff call rebate and normal billing will be charged by the third billing with the waive of max rm250 at my second sim card . Maxis is retard charging more . Blood sucker @ hampeh

it is risky to apply multi1sim if the maxis exec that register ur account doesn't know what he/she should key in the computer keybaord.
when i was at the reception, i already told her to signup for Maxis3G DATA ONLY NOT THE Maxis Broadband with that stupid "Rock" E220 modem promo. she then FORCED me to directly goto the counter having that stupid colourful E220 modem promo booth.

luckily that guy in the booth understand the difference between Maxis3G and Maxis Broadband. He then instructed that stupid receptionist girl to photocopy my IC and get the waiting number for Maxis3G. that was at the receptionist counter. Maxis has made its first impression bad, really bad.

the stories didnt stop there. at the signup counter, the CS told me to hv postpaid line in order to get the RM99 data only plan. then i immediately FORCED him to call his supervisor to entertain me. and the supervisor did all by himself to register my RM99/month Data Only SIM EVEN THOUGH i don't hv Maxis postpaid at all.

u better double triple confirm back to Maxis to check ur account details. if i were u, i would just go back to terminate and restart a fresh new registration the week after.

do you guys need to make RM100 advance payment when you subscribe to this maxis data only unlimited package sim card?

I'm existing maxis postpaid user by the way.
