Anyone here can answer me that does every Maxis 3G sim card lock with certain IP range? I've been stuck at 113.210.xxx IP range, used to get 202.122.xxx IP range early this year, but few months ago I didn't get it anymore.

Yes, me too. I'm now on 113 and I'm OK with the IP range as it is still fast for me. biggrin.gif I'm happy. rclxms.gif

I wonder that possible to ask them to change the IP range for my sim card.

Also I'm using MF622, does it have any firmware that I can flash it and benefit the 7.2mbps speed?

I was on the 202 earlier this year. Now I'm always getting 113. Performance wise, no difference at all for me...since my location is technically not covered in the HSDPA/HSPA area, the speeds I'm getting are satisfactory.

But last Raya, I did notice for a whole week I was getting 2Mbps++ 24/7 hmm.gif

Anyone noticed that the Maxis connection and speed is more stable now?

At least at my area, especially at night, the speed now is at least 2mbps compared to 1 month ago where it is usually 300kbps only.

I think there are only 2 possibilities :
1) More people is moving away from Maxis and start using YES?
2) Maxis has upgraded their network to handle the high demand?

Anyway, I have no complaint over it smile.gif

If I get anything that around 300kbps I will start to do my complaint already. Usually it will be rectified quite promptly. No complain. tongue.gif

Well, I did complained once, the technical group came back and said "No problem with the network" and case closed.
Didn't bother to file any more complaint, though I am happy that the congestion issue is settled.

this seems to be the main reason as my area was upgraded to HSPA+ recently and the speed and stability did improved

maxis is clever to position itself to face the "onslaught" form other celcos and ISP come 2011, the YEAR of Broadband War.......

things are getting excited now thumbup.gif

Added on December 20, 2010, 4:48 pmif you are using Huawei E1762, which is a HSPA+ enabled modem, WinXp will treat your modem as a Network Card, not a USB modem thumbup.gif
