Hmm.. Now that's abit weird, because I don't face problem in normal surfing. The speed can still shoot up to 1.5mbps, can watch Youtube without buffering. I'm just having problem in downloading files from certain hosting sites.

Then we are having different issue. I'm quite confident to say that if I were to get the original speed, my hosting files' speed will be restored as well. Hopefully. smile.gif

Oh well, let's keep our finger cross then. Hopefully your problem can be solved shortly, and hope that Maxis is not throttling those hosting sites(for my case).
If that's really the case, I would put into consider on terminating my line. sad.gif

I don't know how long more for me to endure this kind of speed but seriously I can't take it anymore. cry.gif
They replied my Tweet and asked me to wait while their people will call me...
Hopefully they will call me today...

It just makes me sad for me to run a speed test, it just shows how pathetic the speed is. sad.gif
I mean like 350-500kbps doesn't look good on Maxis.
With download file's speed keeps fluctuating from 30kBps to less than 10kBps!
I don't think any normal person can endure such slow speed...

No la, the sudden influx of users will not happen in one night. It was like this since last week. sleep.gif

It's the connection problem, PJ is known for high population and I didn't have such problem before this. OK, maybe once in May when most of us did face the same problem.

I have already contacted Maxis and if follow its procedures, it needs a maximum of 5 working days to get it solved, usually lesser than that.

I have posted my concern via Twitter and Maxis has tweeted me back on this.

For now, fingers crossed.

laugh.gif Ghost month. tongue.gif

Anyway, I did take into consideration as well, as in this month is a fasting month and etc.

I took last weekend as an experiment, it was slow throughout the whole day and there was no interval which it was better. No.

I used to get more than 3Mbps... sad.gif
My download speed was always around 400kBps, that was equivalent to 3.2Mbps... cry.gif
Really can't stand the slowness anymore, luckily I'm working now and not being able to use it at home.
Else, I would have cried like there is no tomorrow. laugh.gif

Agree with you fruitie, Maxis speed is slow nowadays.

I was able to access upto 3Mbps previously, but suddenly this month the speed deteriorated to only 600kpbs only.

Wow, your download and upload speed is incredible FAST. What is the modem you used to support that speed? Are you on Maxis HSPA+ already??

My maxis speed in both Kulim and Penang Island really sucks.
