wake up @maxis I know it's impossible you can admit that your so called "Invitation Only" customer group is not base on those people who decided to port out.. because that will make you looks even worse than what you are now.. but saying your ex-customer exaggerated without pointing which part I really exaggerating don't make sense at all and there is a lot people out there having the same experience like I do.

Don't try hard in covering the story but put more focus in launching the correct plan ASAP for everyone.. Not just your "selected customer" and "east malaysia" users..

just adding my 2 cents, after 20 yrs with maxis.

i called up maxis CS for a chat after finding out abt all these offers upon porting out (what maxis officially calls "targeted offers"). i was told that they can't do anything for me in terms of a plan with better data while still getting good call rates, and told me the best i can do is to get the RM98 one plan with 1GB data. i just told CS that if that's the case even after being a loyal customer with maxis for 20 yrs, then porting out is very likely for me since celcom is giving so much more with only RM80/mth. CS insisted the off-the-shelve RM98 one plan is the cheapest choice.

a few days later, i received a call from maxis (03-67302138) offering me RM98 one plan with 5GB data, unlimited calls, no contracts, one-time offer. playing along, i took up the offer. since my billing period only ends middle of the mth, i was told that i will be given another 3GB for free, so i have up to 4GB to last til my current billing period ends. i will start the new billing period with the new plan with 5GB.

TBH, i am not happy with how maxis treat long-time customers n how they call this desperate act "targeted offers". if they have to wait til customers port out before making a move to retain the customers, that just means that maxis is hoodwinking customers who are less informed abt the data price war going on.
being with maxis all these years n now experiencing this 1st hand convinced me even more that porting out is the way to go.

Ya, pity those uncles and aunties still signing up plans with them on contract and getting phones. If they were aware that they were signing up for a 5GB plan at RM158 when maxis can offer it at RM68, I doubt they will sign the plan in the first place.

But anyway, these are probably the maxis target customers from now on. Those uncles and aunties who are not aware of what goes on in social media.

The rest of us will never sign sh*t with them ever again.

They gave me a "special offer" top up 30rm and get extra 7gb. Increasing my monthly bill to 158rm. Other telcos are offering 9 or 10gb for what I'm paying for a measly 3gb. Cannot brain

Forgive me for having a more general response here as i need to get your account details in a separate PM.

On competitor offers: yes there is a data price war right now and Maxis has been slow to respond. So yes, i understand your frustration and we are trying to correct the difference for our existing customers right now.

Why were we priced the way we were in the first place? The difference between us and the telco you named is that - quite honestly - we chose a high investment high quality approach to growing mobile data usage. If you compare the 3 telcos public financial reports over the last few years, Maxis invests much more in our 4g data infrastructure, and our pricing has always been premium to maintain that quality. Some customers prefer low cost and dont mind congestion but as a company we wanted to serve customers who did not mind paying a slight premium for a better, more worry free experience. It worked for us very well as we were the only big 3 player that gained market share last year. Until very recently (when every player dropped price to win back the customers we gained last year) our premium was acceptable to most Maxis customers. We know it isnt acceptable any more which is why we are making proactive additional GB offers to existing customers to close the difference.

On the targeted offers, yes we give out different offers to existing customers. The CRM team decides what to give to whom based on a variety of factors: how long youve been a maxis customer, how much data you use, how many lines you have, payment/credit history, propensity to try new services, etc. All banks, telcos and some airlines do this BECAUSE existing customers are more valuable to new ones. Thats why we dont advertise these. Not because they are "secret", but because they are not offered to a new joiner with no history.

Very sorry about CS response time to you. We try to get as much info to the frontline but sometimes things fall thru the cracks. Please pm me your number & name (if diff from FB name) and we will sort it out.

Lastly, supplementary line offers better than main principal: that doesnt sound right to me. With permission, I will pm you separately on this as i need more info on your case.

I'm so damn pissed when I heard this. I'm loyal Maxis customer for almost 10 Years with 5 Numbers under my IC and paying much more than my friend I didn't get such offer from Maxis and once I call them I questioned them about the plan that my friend received upon her termination and change to Celcom.

Maxis Customer Service buat bodoh there say they don't know anything about that and they can do nothing and can't give me the same offer. Maxis continue says that my friend is the selected customer group for this good plan. So I questioned again how do you guys do selection? If in terms of years staying with Maxis I'm more than her, if saying usage per month I also much more than my friend. So on what basis they select their customer that can entitled to such cheap plan? Is it base on customer group who wanted to terminate the service so they are selected and I need to perform termination on Maxis and change to Celcom only they can offer me? The CS keep saying no no no.. and continue say they can't do and dont know what can they do.

This is my main line plan

RM 188 monthly + 7GB Data + Unlimited Calls & Sms + No Contract

VS

RM 68 monthly + 7GB Data + Unlimited Calls & SMS + No Contract (My friend plan)

This stupid Maxis is treating their loyal customer like "Water Fish" / Idiot and I decided to quit this stupid Telco and also posting this so anyone is still using Maxis out there can read on how Maxis treating us like "Water Fish"

And there is special promotion for Sabah & Sarawak Maxis customer with RM30 discount on plan / 2GB extra data I don't know which one is true but both are telling by Maxis Customer Service. So if West Malaysian you felt unfair you can try to call Maxis and ask is this some kind of not so 1 Malaysia? Why East Malaysian getting better offer than West Malaysian.

No wonder Maxis boss can always remain at Malaysia top 3 richest man because there is too much "Water Fish" like us give donation to him.

called maxis again about balance to pay and check bill before i port out properly and I found that
my account still have a deposit of MYR 1200 inside.. I totally forgot about this deposit that I paid
many years ago. So I asked Maxis now all your plans don't require deposit anymore and why aren't
you refunding the old deposit to us? Maxis CS say you can only get refund up on your termination
of service with Maxis. I was like WTF now all no deposit but you still holding my money and don't want
to pay me back and say only terminate can refund deposit. FCK!
Update Again..

Just now went to settle my latest bill with Maxis so I can port out to Celcom and I heard the counter beside me porting in a digi customer and offering the RM68 plan with 5GB + Unlimited calls & sms. So I ask that counter CS what is with this RM68 plan then he say that this is the latest plan that Maxis going to launch tomorrow. Then I don't give shit about what he saying and left after I did my payment.

here is my new Celcom Sim Card! I don't give a shit if they really launch the RM68 plan tomorrow because they treated their customer like idiot and i don't feel like staying with this Maxis anymore.

Maxis "Loyalty Department" CS just called and offer me the RM68 + 5+2GB(Sabah Sarawak Offer) + Unlimited Calls & Sms.

Then I questioned them that why I call in and request this promotion and I confirmed I'm a Maxis One Club Member + 10 years with Maxis why I dont entitle to this plan. They keep saying this is for invitation only.
And only for loyalty member. So once I asked again not because i ported out to Celcom so you give me this call? He answered NO with full confident.

So now they called me and counter offer me after I ported out to Celcom. So fucking efficient. When I reject the offer, they start defaming Celcom giving numbers don't know from where saying Celcom 4G Sucks.
Maxis is the best this and that.

After all the bullshits i got from them i insisted and say no. Then he sounds pretty pissed and ask WHY SIR WHY SIR.. I answered : Because I don't feel like staying with Maxis anymore you guys played with your loyal
customers. Then he started everything all over again..

I stop him halfway and say Decision Made. Bye Maxis. Then baru he gave up..

the number i got is from 03 2856 6000 which I Believe is their so called Loyalty Department. LOL!

anyone who want to try their luck can try calling this number and see if they can give you the same offer!

I'm just sharing my experience during the process I requesting the MYR68 Plan that my friend got it when she decided to port out.. But if you think the part that I said you are treating your customer like "Water Fish / Idiot" make you think this is not correct or exaggerated, ok I apologize for this part but that's how I feel that time as a customer of Maxis.

Me too loyal to maxis for more than 10 years,

4 line with maxis, monthly spend about RM170.
2 port out to Digi and 2 terminate.

Never get call from Maxis CS also. Will ask In law to port out as well since they waste money in 1 plan (RM200) but get so little data.

On the bold part, this is where everything start. You do not have a standardise guideline for these? How would you explain that IT HAPPENS for customer who have fit into all criteria and still doesnt get anything when port out or queries about it offer? Moreover, the CS would say NO SUCH THING. This really piss customer off where it's written and shared all over the internet.

Meanwhile, another person who only uses for months got SELECTED? Awesome lah.

Currently I am under RM 155 for their maxis one plan ohmy.gif

Anyone getting the same offer? hmm.gif
