This is the tricky part where they dont even open to all public. Soon or later it definitely will cause alot problems, especially they only set for 2 years for that plan.

QUOTE(reevephon @ Mar 19 2016, 06:35 PM) Received a call from Maxis today offering me the exact same plan like what you guys mentioned before, which includes the following at RM78 / month without the need of contract bounding, RM78 for 5GB? Lol, my gf got an offer of RM98 for 6GB. Maxis really need to standardise all the plans not by doing this5GB data Unlimited call & SMS to all telco and fixed line I was using surf more 50 for more than 2-3 years and a customer of Maxis for at least 10 years, also having two supplementary lines on Maxis One 128 and Surf More 50 plan. Nevertheless, Maxis gives the best coverage especially 4G in Klang Valley and even my hometown at Perak, so I accepted the offer at last. |

Made complaint to SKMM and CFM. Managed to get RM88 for 7GB + 1GB with free spotify premium. However, my plan was RM158 with iphone plan. Thus need to pay penalty of RM950. The only thing I felt cheated and not arguable is my previous plan was RM158 and now my plan stated clearly RM188. So basically its an upgrade, why should I pay for the penalty? To Maxis, it is an offer for monthly rebate after I lodged complaint in skmm & cfm about unfair practice on all the plans. The contract did not state if an upgrade with offer which requires me to pay penalty. If my area not cos of Maxis line is better, definitely already port the fack out from them.
On another note, my gf did not get the same package but she use Maxis since 2000 and prompt payment. Instead of RM68 for 5gb or RM88 for 7gb. She got 98 for 6gb and RM118 for 7gb. Straight port out to digi. Sometimes we have to be smart consumer not to be con by all these shits. If in a same area, maxis & digi or even celcom line is acceptable. I think not necessary to take maxis. Especially this is how they treat customer. And Many say "I would back to Maxis if they offer something similiar or lower" few weeks back but now I think majority customer are so frustrated on how they treat their long time customers. |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 4 2016, 08:37 AM) Caught this on her FB. Seriously, why is she working for maxis? She should be a politician. Sounds like the same crap we get from them... On the bold part, this is where everything start. You do not have a standardise guideline for these? How would you explain that IT HAPPENS for customer who have fit into all criteria and still doesnt get anything when port out or queries about it offer? Moreover, the CS would say NO SUCH THING. This really piss customer off where it's written and shared all over the internet.Forgive me for having a more general response here as i need to get your account details in a separate PM. On competitor offers: yes there is a data price war right now and Maxis has been slow to respond. So yes, i understand your frustration and we are trying to correct the difference for our existing customers right now. Why were we priced the way we were in the first place? The difference between us and the telco you named is that - quite honestly - we chose a high investment high quality approach to growing mobile data usage. If you compare the 3 telcos public financial reports over the last few years, Maxis invests much more in our 4g data infrastructure, and our pricing has always been premium to maintain that quality. Some customers prefer low cost and dont mind congestion but as a company we wanted to serve customers who did not mind paying a slight premium for a better, more worry free experience. It worked for us very well as we were the only big 3 player that gained market share last year. Until very recently (when every player dropped price to win back the customers we gained last year) our premium was acceptable to most Maxis customers. We know it isnt acceptable any more which is why we are making proactive additional GB offers to existing customers to close the difference. On the targeted offers, yes we give out different offers to existing customers. The CRM team decides what to give to whom based on a variety of factors: how long youve been a maxis customer, how much data you use, how many lines you have, payment/credit history, propensity to try new services, etc. All banks, telcos and some airlines do this BECAUSE existing customers are more valuable to new ones. Thats why we dont advertise these. Not because they are "secret", but because they are not offered to a new joiner with no history. Very sorry about CS response time to you. We try to get as much info to the frontline but sometimes things fall thru the cracks. Please pm me your number & name (if diff from FB name) and we will sort it out. Lastly, supplementary line offers better than main principal: that doesnt sound right to me. With permission, I will pm you separately on this as i need more info on your case. Thank you again for directing this to me, and sorry again for all this back n forth stuff. Sulin, Maxis Meanwhile, another person who only uses for months got SELECTED? Awesome lah. |

QUOTE(attw @ Apr 5 2016, 10:39 AM) I don't think it's illegal for maxis to practice discriminatory pricing. Whether it's ethical or not is another matter, but don't think it's illegal. I lodged mine at SKMM & CFM. Maxis did offered me after that. However due to my plan is with contract. I still need to pay for it. On the other hand, my gf who lodged complaint but did not get the same offer as I did. SKMM & CFM dont really bother and usually they just chose to redirect back to Maxis own staff rather their third party CS |

Haha when this telco wars started, those who lodged complaint managed to get the offer. Eventually after 3 weeks it become viral where everyone wants the same package. Now worst, they made it official where they wont standardise on the pricing.
