Anyone else ordered this dashcam from Lazada during the 11.11 sale? Did you receive it yet?

Mine hasn't arrived so I contacted their rep and it feels like something fishy is going on sleep.gif

Hello there, my name is Bob.Please let me check first.
for this item after several attempt, it in the process of return now
Me: What do you mean?
Gung Ho CS: mean the courier already try to deliver the item
but the the precess was fail
thus they will be return the item back
and proceed with the refund
Me: But I was never notified or contacted in regards to delivery or even failure of delivery?
Gung Ho CS: Do you receive any call
Me: None whatsoever.
No note left at my premises indicating they attempted delivery
Are you sure delivery has been attempted?
Gung Ho CS:

File uploaded:
File_U..._30_AM.png

Me: Noted. but look at the time between status updates. 6 minutes between delivery and delivery failed.. that is certainly impossible no?
And I only see 1 delivery attempt.. not "several attempt" as you claimed
Gung Ho CS: For this we need to check with the courier first
any update we will revert to you back
as we will revert via email in 24-48 hours
Me: Please do or I will escalate the matter further. I will be waiting for an update within these 2 days.

What are my options here? It's pretty unfair that I manage to get it on sale only for them to suspiciously not be able to deliver...

EDIT: formatting kasi cantik sikit.

this is 'norm' with our local courier - while it does not have enough manpower to deliver too many stuffs, or lazy to go out raining time. then u would see this kind of message. it is courier matter.

My car got into an accident a few days ago. Got rearended suddenly and because of that my car knocked into the car in front (was in a traffic jam). Fortunately, my Yi dash cam was there to record everything. Explaining what happened to the sarjan trafik has never been easier. Although this has been a traumatic & inconvenient incident, I have to give thumbs up to the Yi dashcam.

Used the Yi Dashcam since the 11.11 sale from Lazada. Anybody got anyway to minimize the glare from the number plates?

I think a CPL filter might fix this and also the reflections on the windscreen

If yours is the international version, then your is English version.

Chinese firmware is a few version newer than the international version.

There is a way to flash international version firmware to the chinese version but not sure will work the other way or not... There is a video in the 1st post on this...

ADAS only works with 1080p ma... Other resolution not supported...

Yi dashcam don't have parking mode feature. Yes you can try to use a powerbank to power the Yi dashcam to continue recording when parked. But do know that powerbank and heat don't play well especially when you parked outside in the sun. The battery in the powerbank might get bloated or worst case scenario explode. The risk is yours.

Another way is to hardwire to your car battery but you'll be draining your car battery.

am abit curious, in your case, (car behind hit your car with enough force to push your car into the car infront) doesn't the person infront claim from your insurance anyway?

If not mistaken, usually is the last car behind that bangs is at fault and all cars involved can claim that person's car insurance.

tune the cam angle, let it face downward 10-20 degree instead of horizontal line, doing this can unexpectedly solve some cam wide lens - see car plate not clear matter, it might also help u solve the reflection blurring matter, since no cost involve, juz try it

This is correct.

Car in front of me claim from my insurance, I claim from the car behind me. Then ultimately, both I & the car in front of me will claim from the car behind me.

B. If YI Smart Dash Camera cannot boot normally, try push the reset button on the top of the camera with a pin. If the camera still cannot boot:

Download FWCARC10.bin to the micro SD card and put it in the root directory (make sure the file name remains FWCARC10.bin)
Insert the micro SD card in the camera
Connect the camera to a power source, then switch on the camera
The yellow light at the right-bottom corner of the camera will flash, but the screen remains dark (if the light is not flashing, push the reset button on the top of the camera with a pin)
Wait for 1-5 minutes before the update is successful and the camera is restarted
Format the micro SD card after the camera is successfully restarted, otherwise the update process will be started every time the camera is restarted
