Normally is will record for few sec thn turn off. But for new firmware, it will show u summary like how often u acceleration, sudden stop and one more I forgot.
Thn total time u drive till you turn off your engine

New startup sound sounds nicer...

Haven't seen the drive status yet as the yi dashcam is hidden behind the rear view mirror...

My resume note 3 cannot update the firmware but using note 4 can.

I just noticed the quality of image in the xiaoyi dashcam really grainy compared to xiaoyi actioncam.

Both recorded at 2304x1296 but the details losses so much in xiaoyi dashcam, is it focus issue? It doesnt seem blur, it just lack of detail.

Man, car plate also hardly can see compared to xiaoyi actioncam. Guess dashcam meant to show video, rather than catching culprit.

Good thing it is f1.8, but it just hardly can obtain number plates.

it was said yi dashcam processor native resolution up to 1080 only, 1296 is somehow interpolated, better still select 1080 + 60fps

mine MeHome one 1080 + 30fps already good enough, not too bother about specification (specification now only juz become a marketing competition tool among dashcam manufacturer)

I guess pay peanut still get peanut rule still apply..

Use the app to update to the Yi dashcam or manually download the firmware from xioayi website and copy to the microSD card to update...

Ok tq. I tried updating via app but it said download failed. Several times . not sure why. Will try manually updating later.
