B. If YI Smart Dash Camera cannot boot normally, try push the reset button on the top of the camera with a pin. If the camera still cannot boot:

Download FWCARC10.bin to the micro SD card and put it in the root directory (make sure the file name remains FWCARC10.bin)
Insert the micro SD card in the camera
Connect the camera to a power source, then switch on the camera
The yellow light at the right-bottom corner of the camera will flash, but the screen remains dark (if the light is not flashing, push the reset button on the top of the camera with a pin)
Wait for 1-5 minutes before the update is successful and the camera is restarted
Format the micro SD card after the camera is successfully restarted, otherwise the update process will be started every time the camera is restarted

Thanks. I am able to reset and boot from the Micro SD card with above steps. Just that each time to update the latest firmware from the phone to dash cam via phone wifi, the phone will stuck at xiaoyi logo and unable to boot into the menu and console. Anyone experience the same problem also? Thanks.

Mi Max means using MIUI right? Check the app permissions, just allow all.

All permissions on Phone Miui being granted before I sync to dash cam. Noticed the dash cam received file from the phone and the dash cam restarted by itself after few min idling and hang at the xiaoyi logo after that.

Did you restart the phone after changing permissions? Try it first. If that doesn't work, then I have no idea what's the problem sweat.gif

Is this okay? Seems different from the others.. This one 130wide angle and is black color

Lower spec's? ohmy.gif all I know its a 130 wide angle compared to the 165.

I also read that 165 lens can't really focus is that true?

A bit lower only la... Could be a newer lens with the 135 degrees fov... Need to get a unit to test and see... Hahaha...

Not really. It depends on how you report.

If you bang the front first then the back bang you, then you will lost your NCD. If the person behind bang you then result in you banging the front car, then you wont lose your NCD. Now you know how to report la...

Have you guys notice that the emergency video is no longer a 10 or 20 seconds video? Seems it's almost 2 min on my recent recording.

Guys, considering this xiaomi as my first dashcam but I dont understand chinese. Are all xiao yi dashcam in chinese? No English?

I'm a banana and I'm using the chinese version of the Yi dashcam. The Yi dashcam app is in english, you can use it to configure the dashcam from the app...

There is an international version of the Yi dashcam which is in english.
