Didn't say CW is dead .. but it is obsolete, not needed anymore. US, UK and many other countries have dropped the requirement to pass CW to get a full license.

Added on December 16, 2009, 9:41 pmBTW, heard from someone, somebody was nabbed today by MCMC for selling amateur radio openly during RAE event this afternoon in Penang. Can someone confirm this?

rioven, only MCMC could explain that to you smile.gif One thing, the majority of old generation 9Ms want the CW exam to be retained. Do you know that if you migrated to UK, your 'B' license could be converted to a full license there? There was a talk to change the licensing structure in Malaysia but up till now, nothing has come through the discussion.

Kaikon, why not go to Jalan Pasar and asked if any of them sell the stickers? Hehehe.. if not, just peel off the SIRIM sticker from those chepo 3-pin plugs .. should work a treat ..

But guys, really .. if you think your rigs are not certified, better not go near MCMC and showing off .. hehehe.. And this is the good time for MARTS to come into action .. oh, forgotten that MARTS is already dysfunctional..

5 stars ? How long have you been using this boss? I am a bit weary of china mali sets but I see them improving.

I have been using them for close to 4 months already... Just google for this model and you will find a lot of reviews of it.... Wouxun was founded in 2000... I think it is more established than puxing...

oo ok, I borrowed a puxing px777 for 2 weeks now and from what I can see

1. Audio is almost on par with other brands
2. VFO is non existent
3. All tones and bla bla works well other than its renamed
4. Battery life is extremely good
5. Built quality is ok
6. A close clone to Motorola 328 Plus even the knobs are interchangeable tongue.gif
7. Power only have high and low

Oh well, China mali is catching up real quick. Even method of opening it up is similar to Motorola. wooohoooooo
Will take a SWR meter to that motorola UHF look-alike puxing antenna tonight.

RM375 = good buy for its size. Nearest to it's price range the VX170
