There's only 2 things you need to do:
1. Learn to drive on manual mode and your car will be fine.
Basically what I mean is:
- coming to stop, switch to manual and allow the gear to auto shift down.
- from rest traffic, manually shift gear 1 to 3 and then switch back to D
- If possible, don't use the autohold function
2. Service your car every 7500km or around 13000km instead of the usual 15000km.
Point 1 is especially important to preserve your gearbox clutch.
Not much else is needed to be done, the EA888 engine and turbo are both extremely robust. Any further worries will only occur around the 90k - 100k mileage mark, that's when you start needing to replace the wear and tear parts of the car.
Tq for the input & reccomendations. Will definitely take that into account. U recommend to stick with official vw service centre or just send elsewhere?

After owning 2 VW vehicles, all i can say is avoid buying VW. Among all the German makes, they are the least reliable.
And u will have alot of surprises everyday. Check engine light, coolant light, and a host of other stuff.
For a peace of mind, stick with Toyota. The Camry Hybrid is superb!
Ouch! I hope this one wont be the same..

Something to add;
-Change dsg fluid at every 30k km instead of 60k as in service booklet.
Will surely keep that in mind. Thanks a lot.

To credit VW, the TSI (turbocharged) and DSG gearbox indeed a killer machine on the road. No regret if you are looking for a great performance car.
Having said that, the technology (TSI & DSG) suffers from defect (i personally called it). The TSI and DSG both are wear and tear part and no one can tell when is going to break. You got to know it in and out about the technology especially the DSG, for example, What are the common symptoms of DSG failure and risk should DSG failed while on the high speed.
Another nightmare you need to deal with is the VW Service Center unless you are avoiding them then you can ignore this message. The VW service center has so far not meeting customer expectation. Some VW owner do compliment but mostly are complaints. Not having mention the road assistance service also another terrible experience. Don't hope Volkswagen Malaysia would be assisting, more than often they are ignorant, not listening, and not value to customer feedback.
I owned a Jetta 1.4 and it was pleasure and fun to drive. By coincidence, few times on the North-South Highway, joining 2-3 VW car zig zag-ing overtaken car was fun. The power that the TSI gives you and the DSG smooth transmission gearbox was perfect married for this machine.
One of my friend told me the laggy at low speed could be because of turbo lag.
Good luck and hope you would marry with the Volkswagen Passat CC. (Despite all the negative feedback about VW).

Cheers.
Thanks a lot! It took me almost 2 weeks to finally decide for this car. Some said its a good car, some said otherwise. Service wise, previous owner told me that the centre is fine so far. Still considering whether to stick to the centre to go elsewhere.
