Sierra glow is good for its price, I take the SG5 instead of blue flame and it's cheaper than other high end coating with 5 years warranty, after almost 3 months and it still look good

But zero protection against stone is the sad part for coating though
*
Haha~ ya, i know about this also, my house got 2 cars with their coating, value to price ratio good~

i wonder how it will be after 2-3 years since some cheaper coating will wear off over time

What's the price? Expensive right ?

I don't know the exact price, it comes as a package.

But if you refer to their brochure, for our car is RM 4000.
So, i estimate it should be some where around RM 2.5k? Uncertain though.

Best is PM someone with name Lord Gitsy.. do search him in the forum under tint advice thread.

Ya, it did slowly gotten less shiny through out 2-3 years later, but you have 5 year warranty, you can do it again anytime within the warranty period. And you already saved money on car polishing for 5 years.

And it also depends on how good you take care of your coating, if you did always wipe those dirt stains or bird droppings off quickly, it can last longer.

Can get till that low? The Raytech manager seems to be reluctant to give any further discounts other than the RM500 discount Bermaz gave. My budget is below 2.5k, so i'm only looking at the low-mid range tints, maybe FX or at most MX if they give me a good price. Will be visiting their shop tomorrow.

i already PM him, still waiting for his quote, he does seems slow.

For window tinting, i got mine done at Koolway Shop, Taman Subang Perdana.

It's a bit darker from the outside, but the results is really good.

Look for Vincent and tell him that Jiuhwei recommended you.

The brand is Solargard. I also never heard of it up until I went to his shop.

I got it done at RM1800. TSER and IRR... no clue so I did some quick searching.

I'm using Solargard. Definitely not one of the best but it does its job as a tint.

The price on brochure is way too high in my opinion. And since SA is able to provide it as free gift, it wouldn't be that expensive lo.. hahaha..

As I mentioned, my rebates is not great, only 500 cash rebates. but i think the tint worth more and think of hassle free later on just to get tinting as what you facing now, better let him sekaligus settle all. icon_rolleyes.gif

Below 2.5k, maybe you can compare Llumar, 3M, Huper Optic, something like "Solar Guard" or "Windguard" (couldn't remember).

I suggest asking the price without the discount voucher. Sometimes you pay more even after discount due to the SA's commission.

My impression dealing with Lord Gitsy is there is no fixed price for Raytech tinting for specific car models. He wants you to come to the shop and the price depends on face to face nego.

Anyway I know a friend who has done Raytech tinting for M3 for RM1800 with Ultra 70 for front/rear windscreens and security tint for windows.

The RM1800 spec... doh.gif sweat.gif laugh.gif

Sorry, I don't know the details.
But as far as my driving experience goes, I have no issues and no complaints la.

Though it is a bit darker. Lots of people ask me if I have ever been stopped by police for my dark tint.
No, I have never had issues at roadblocks.

I got it done around October 2015. Till now still foolishly happy with it innocent.gif

haha, i think i got typo error in the previous post, i'm actually looking smthg below 2k, sorry~
I also feel that it would be much convenient if when i collect the car, the tinting is already done, instead needed to bring the car there, sit and wait for a few hours.
If the price difference between using RM500 voucher and direct deal with Raytech isnt that high, i would choose to let the SA settle, if there's a significant price difference, i need to think about it, as probably worth the hassle.

It's great that you are satisfied with it.

For me, my car is basically driving weekdays morning to work, and evening to back home; weekends maybe family day or dating day, usually just go out makan or shopping, which will normally parked in a basement carpark of those shopping malls. so i think i dont really need a tint which is like 90%+ heat rejection and cost me like 3k, but a mid range and reliable brand will do, can save money here also, so i'm looking for around 1.5k but maximum to 2k if the tint is really worth it.

Vkook official branches seems very little in klang valley, u did your tint at dealer side? How to know whether the tint is genuine?

I've tested smart tag (old version) with the tint and is working fine.
I've also tested with my house long range proximity card reader and is working fine as well.

I did my tint at the dealer side and they do provide me official receipt, warranty card and 5 years warranty period.
So if any issue / bubble / defect, definitely can bring it back to the shop itself.

Excellent workmanship and keep the car neat and tidy.
