I've been using Celcom First Basic 38 for nearly 7 months now
Was a loyal customer to Maxis for 12 years & I'm not going back until they listen to their customers about their overpriced packages

Loyalty in mobile operators means nothing. They are not been using same equipment as to the time when u firstly subscribed to them.
They have evolved.
Unfortunately, maxis has not been competitive with their prices. Some customers just see the "name" and do not consider the pricing nor the quality of service. Or rather some just dont want to have the hassle of switching to better deals.
You are loyal customer but if they cared about u, they would have offered you a special deal for being loyal.

Their older plans was good. So to jump I need to sacrifice my old plan which I can never get back, so need to be very very sure.

Like I'm still on the old SurfMore75 + 5GB auto add on. RM125, which is slightly more expensive than Celcom right now, but that 10 GB I can use freely, weekdays or weekends while Celcome only 5GB can use freely on weekdays, and weekend ada different calculations.

I'm playing the waiting game je right now. laugh.gif

Same here.

Were asked by their sales rep to change to MaxisOne, I meekly told them don't be idiots suggesting inferior product to me.

That U Mobile plan looks tempting... They ride on Maxis bandwidth too.

why so emo? market forces at work. you can price your products at certain level , and if there is continuous sustainable demand for it, it can remain priced at that level

If demand drops , then prices will be adjusted accordingly. cheers. I too find maxis products overpriced but I have lots of friends staying with maxis due to their good data experience. cheers

maxshit biggrin.gif none of the Maxis staff want to say anything here...

they cannot do anything... Maxis ONE is the only ONE expensive plan
they keep on focus on how fast Maxis is... but they cannot offer competitive plan
remove old affordable plan and FORCE new subscribe change to ONE expensive plan

Celcom Digi Umobile started to have >7GB Plan for RM80 or less (Maxis need RM188)

I think the Maxis CEO is killing the company til become Maxshit

Not to stand at any side , Maxis Celcom Digi or whatsoever,

I believe every company have the right to have their own marketing and pricing strategy right?

Just like fashion, you can buy cheap clothes @ RM 50 for 3 T shirt at Brand outlet, but 1 little cloth with same design might cost you RM200 at branded shop.

No point to complaint and spam their Facebook or twitter, the only reason why I see you guys doing this is just to admit their network is good, so you wish they are cutting their price so you might port in and use their service back.

But from my friends who working at Maxis told me earlier, their management not intended to involve in this price war at all...

Nevertheless, I agree Maxis pricing is at the high side compare to the others like Celcom, Digi tongue.gif

Last year when Data war start between telco.

Maxis still got offer free 2GB data monthly as Loyal Customer.

Until recently, i got sms said that i had use up all my data limit than only i know the offer is gone.

And thinking bout to MNP, since the ROI with maxis surfmore is not good compare to others liao.

Add-on :

Man, last time i still get spotify premium. Now it's been force to One-Plan 128 only get that offer.

Come on, DIGI free music unlimited + 1 year of iFlix.

I am currently using Maxis, Celcom and Digi, and from my experience, Maxis line is the best, then follow by Celcom or Digi

My hometown located at at small kampung/pekan at Johor, and as of now only Maxis having 4G overt there, while Celcom and Digi is 3G only,

so no complaint for Maxis so far for their network tongue.gif

DG, Mxis, Cel seeing drop in spectrum in 1800MHz.
What it means is, they have to work do with less resources.

For customers, you may expect little impact : especially is call quality (not so clear), call drop (in congested areas, such as malls and etc), lower data rate (in high demanding places).

The signal level will be still ok. As they will not adjust the transmitting power. You may realize that even with FULL BAR, you are not getting optimum speed or quality. This is due to limited capacity.

Oh! That means they are pretty desperate already. When I ported out last July, they countered offered me was way worse than this. Was with them for 13yrs and 3 other supplementary lines.
I guess they do learn a bit just not fast enough. doh.gif

Maxis called me to have the same conversation earlier today and made their counter offer known to me. I counter-proposed and they were supposed to call me back a few hours ago but didn't. Now I pray they don't delay my MNP for both lines. I was with them for 18 years. Never felt valued as a customer, EVER. Hence I'm porting out. Loyalty is just a word in a dictionary to Maxis. Nevertheless, I wish them well as I'm moving into the unknown ; )

I'll share what they offered me once my MNP is successful.

Maxis offered me a free Samsung Galaxy Note 5, rm88 (7+1GB One Share unlimited calls & SMS plan with rm100 monthly rebate) and a rm48 One Share Supplementary unlimited calls&SMS plan while tied to a 2 year contract as a counter offer to my intention of switching to Celcom's First Gold Plan and First 1+5 Supplementary Plan. The thing is their counter offer is inferior to Celcom's plan and it's even more expensive than my existing rm98 One Plan + rm30 Supplementary Plan. I don't know what they're smoking (read: thinking).

As they say all good things must come to an end. I can't say I didn't try on my side. Certainly, in this case, Maxis was the disinterested party. They let go of an 18 year relationship.

This is precisely what went thru my head when I decided to MNP. They can spend millions of RM to recruit new sign ups but could not allocate some few hundred Ks to retain loyal customer.
Guess they only value those high ARPU and corporate group.
For all they care, even after losing loyal customers they still make higher profit!

Bro, I signed up their Maxis Fibre home internet plan and they only give me rm10 rebate. New Maxis subscribers get rm20.

Something is wrong with their logic.

After killing Biz68, Biz99, legacy RM99 unlimited internet and recently killing the Spotify + 150MB plan. I decided enough is enough.

I am planning to move most of my numbers from Maxis to Celcom.

The hassle of MNP is painful though. sad.gif

The purposely made it hard for MNP i presume.

Maxis would still can say their revenue gets better, not rocket science ya, thier subs are willing to pay high rates (for now). but their churn rate is increasing.

Wtf? Why cant they open up all these plans to public or customers?

Why would they? We are flocking to sign up with them.

Let them hear the voice of the customer. Just maybe, maybe they will reconsider. If the attrition rate is high enough to shake up their senior management and maybe send some shivers down the spine of their top decision makers the general public might just be able to enjoy more rational and reasonable rate plans from this GIANT telco.

Right now Maxis doesn't hear us.

I got to admit, Maxis support is awesome. It is really good, a call can get everything from switching plan to termination done quickly. But then do you call them every day? I only call them a few times a year.

Maxis network is great but Celcom is not far behind on this. Maxis is faster but Celcom's coverage is wider. So I guess it is a tie.

With Celcom new infra sharing with TM, I believe they are going to get better on their speed.

I am sorry to say altough Maxis line is expensive, but Celcom line was really suck at my hometown...

I back to my hometown for CNY celebration now, I manage to get H+ signal but the page/browser just doesnt move at all.. speedtest results 0.2-0.3mbps..

Luckily I still have Maxis prepaid sim (Hotlink) with me, I manage to get 4G and the speed is awsome.. perhap, too many Maxis users are ported out and line was not congested now..

It is hard for me to admit Maxis line was awsome at my hometown now for this 1 week CNY celebration...

But hopefully they will do some changes to introduce some better price postpaid plan in the future..

For me, both line quality and price are equally important for me

Guys, I'm currently on the SurfMore 50 plan. RM 50 for 2gb data. But recently Maxis has been giving +2gb for free per month, so total data quota per month is 4gb.

However my friend told me that this has ended and the plan is now back to 2gb per month only. Is this true? If that's the case I'm jumping to Digi 75 plan with 7gb.

Why not call Maxis to expedite the process? Reminds them every 6 hrs until it's done. If they delay, you'll pay for unutilised/overlapping cellular coverage from both service providers at once. By right, if Maxis had yet to disconnect or complete MNP, DiGi shouldn't activate your new SIM now.

none of the Maxis staff can comment anything about Maxis ONE expensive plan biggrin.gif

i guess it is only Maxis going opposite direction where Celcom, Digi and U Mobile continue be more competitive....

Maxis... DATA become expensive and more expensive which forcing new subscriber to their ONE expensive plan

Celcom, Digi and U Mobile continue to provide cheaper DATA plan... with free calls/sms

recently my friend change from Maxis surfmore 50 to Digi 75.... the next day Maxis call him why he change... he ask Maxis can offer RM75 7GB or not? LoL

to be honest, Celcom, Digi is doing good in coverage... Maxis speed is faster, BUT we do not need 20Mbps of speed with 2GB of data plan @ RM50

p/s: Morten Lundal must leave Maxis... he must be the tumor in Maxis... ever since he joined Maxis... all data plan become EXPENSIVE... he must be secret agent to kill Maxis tongue.gif

I use Maxis because im satisfy with their 4g coverage & quality (indoor & outdoor) and free spotify.

3Gb package for me is enough, the rest office & home use wifi.

In terms of value honestly umobile is better, but their coverage and internet speed not so reliable (in Cyberjaya)

You got your facts wrong i supposed ? blink.gif

Celcom FiRST GOLD 80 plan is UNLIMITED for ALL calls & the internet data plan’s 10GB data quota is actually split into two equal 5GB portions: a “main” monthly 5GB data plus an additional 5GB data that’s allocated only for the weekends (1.25GB every weekend).

This plan also comes with the ability to carry forward unused data. However, this will only apply to the 5GB of monthly data. As for the weekend data, they will refresh every weekend, meaning that any unused data from the 1.25GB quota will be forfeited the following Monday. It should also be noted that Celcom will use this weekend quota ahead of the user’s monthly data on weekends.

Besides that, the plan also offers unlimited calls and texts to all networks, and a free 12-month trial to Celcom’s Yonder Music app, which allows you to stream music for free.

Finally, subscribers will also get 5GB allocation when using Celcom’s WiFiPlus zones, and bonus Internet of 1GB when your bill hits RM225 and above, or 2GB when your bill tops RM500 (roaming charges not included).

From the terms and conditions, this plan is a limited time promotion that will end on 31 March 2016.

Hi guys, I am also a 20 years on maxis. 20 years!
My contract will be end october. All the extreme bad encounter with maxis centre for the last contract, seriously no point to bring out anymore.

I would like to know, the Strenght of Celcom. I understand their line coverage is widest, and i heard their 4G not as fast as maxis, are this true? Cause I will be going to celcom once my contract end. I only concern is few time a year will be travel back to home town from KL, if the 4G doesnt work properly, it will be not so enjoyable. ( can still live with it) KL should be getting proper 4G signal. I am a light user on 4G, cause usually is connected with WIFI. Unless traveling to outstation, 4G become my best friend.... tongue.gif

And yes, unlimited call and sms is needed (Yes, SMS is needed). Or frame it on highest free call by minutes is best.

Digi and Umobile is last choice. Tq

I got my facts from their official FAQ page: https://www.celcom.com.my/personal/plans/go...d=1439663563811

yeah perhaps this limited promotion end by 31march 2016, meaning whoever subscribe now will enjoy the unlimited call / sms for only 1 month. and after that only 100 mins.

Wrong again
Before you make all this assumptions, go to the Celcom HQ yourself to get a clearer answer

That First Gold plan you see in the FAQ is the old First Gold RM100 plan, not the new First Gold RM80 plan

Those who subscribe before the promotion ends, will get the unlimited call for eternity unless you change to other plan
If by following your logic, I wouldn't get the 50 minutes free calls & 3GB data for only RM38 per month anymore for the Celcom First Basic 38 that I registered in June last year

well its not loyal to a fault, but based on my finding so i post it here, yeah i maybe wrong for not getting full information, but what i posted here is based on some facts that i read in their official website.
i've been switching over from Celcom to U mobile now with Maxis, and finally i feel that i pay extra for the peace of mind having coverage and good 4g connectivity.

Based on my experience of switching 3 telcos within this past 3 years:
Umobile: connection sucks within cyberjaya area especially the new buildings and parking lot. even i barely get signal in my own office. everytime want to receive sms for TAC i have to go to balcony and raise my phone to receieve that bloody sms. (very very cheap telco)

Celcom: got signal but not steady. i was hoping to get good 4G however its just a hope. i admit KL area excellent, but again not cyber. and yeah they eat my money by subscribing all the rubbish content without my prior consent. only able to get rid of it after i call their CS

Digi: (my wife using) slightly better than Umobile

Maxis: nothing much to complain except their premium price. but i feel its okey as long as they give premium quality of internet connection, call quality, coverage. i dont bother much about CS anyway.

Afterall this is maxis talk not celcom talk.. i assume i didnot do anything wrong posting it here. if you want post more details about the celcom plan perhaps you should move it to other thread.

Just having a dinner with my friend working at Maxis HQ management team and back to home now...

I guess maybe for those who are hoping Maxis will call you back when port out or Maxis will come out with better plan.. can stop dreaming about this

The info below might sound irritating for some of you ( Insider info)

1) Maxis management do not have any intention to involve in this price war at all, they will keep their current plan with focus more the network quality

2) For those using the port out as method and hoping for their retention unit will call back and offering some better plan, make sure your monthly usage is more than RM200 and with Maxis with at least few years and with good payment record, otherwise, they wont call and retain you, dont waste your time

3) For the news they are losing customer in recent business quarter, yes, it is true, but still, Maxis revenue is growing instead of dropping, they "purposely" do it to let go those low usage customer, and their focus will be for those with high monthly usage. As of now, they still have around 700K customer who is using Maxis One Plan, and those will be the customer they wish to retain in their profile. My friend did mentioned me sometimes like ARPU or ARPH thing, if not mistaken the ARPU is average usage per user, for more details you may ask your accountant's friend, I not sure what is that in details

4) Overall, Maxis focus in 2016 will be better network, they are the telco spending the highest cost to expand their 4G LTE network in the past 1 year compare to Digi, Celcom and Umobile, and also focus on hight ARPU/ ARPH customer with better profile

That is all I know as of now.... Just for sharing, TQ sweat.gif

The only thing I can say is, their target market is different from Digi and Celcom now..

Item 3, yes I can confirm. It's on one of the Investment Bank Research Report on Maxis Berhad. They are focusing on high ARPU customers. Report mention rm150, but you're saying rm200. Since yours is Insider Info, so must be true.

QUOTE(ckyow1 @ Feb 13 2016, 09:29 PM)

*
but my colleague on surfmore 50 (after calls/sms, monthly just RM60-70 bills), change to Digi, Maxis also call him the next day, ask whether he will continue do use Maxis if they can give better offer... he straight told Maxis personnel, no need... because he is now on RM75 7GB Digi plan

I think is true Maxis only focus on higher monthly usage peoples, such as corporate one, because some of my friends their corporate line all is Maxis... Maxis give better services to corporate users i feel...

Maybe your friend is with Maxis for many years, and the payment record is on time every month, and they might call as well for this group of customer (stable income source) rclxms.gif

Revenue = Total number of users x ARPU
In simple calculation, despite drop in total number of users, ARPU remains high, therefore your revenue is still up there. At the short run, yes it sounds great. But in a long run, losing customers are something that in telco we try to avoid.
Now retaining high ARPU customers are not easy. They are demanding and smart at the same time. You network got to be top notch. Frankly speaking, all telcos are trying their best. The demand for data is so high that telcos are struggling to keep up with ever growing volume of data.
They (Maxis) is seeing the user drop trend, they will have counter strategy to retain customers or reduce the churn rate. How? Reduce price or offer better deal for their loyal customer.
Maxis not in the price game? Well all telcos around in other countries eventually will get into this game. Simply ask a question, if you need to cut on your monthly expenses, which expenditure you will willing to cut?

Before MNP was introduced, telco can be "safe" in maintaining their price irrespective to their competitors. How many of use willing to change our phone numbers? MNP was in fact was introduced to give freedom to the users to opt for the best. In term of money value.

Network quality now is very very subjective. Not even one telco in Malaysia can 100% say their network is the best. Some provider have great speed in one place, but suck in the other. Those who has their office/home and the speed is great, they will claim that particular telco is the best. But check all area (drive test) and youll find the real % of coverage and capacity of network. And no telco ever want to reveal this real drive test result. They just "claim" their coverage is such and such.

Maxis has been doing alots of changes since the new CEO (ML) took the office. Of coz as a CEO, his prime objective is numbers. In current state of economy, adaptation to users needs is very important to keep you in the business.

I do agree with your point, but as per what my friend told me, Maxis board of director just had the meeting with their heads and CEO last week,
and this is their current decision to not introduce any similar plan like Digi or Celcom.. what to do sad.gif

Corporate ARPU is way higher than individuals. That's why Maxis CS is more efficient and responsive to them.

You know why Maxis is still LCLY? Too many Chinaman using Maxis. Like my dad, still claiming Maxis is the best despite his new house cant receive calls at all due to poor signal indoors. Like it or not, Maxis yesteryear reputation still stick with the old timers.

Only gen x,y,z would consider something else other than Maxis.

how can i be offered with that? I was in surftmore 5gb but since they have 2+2gb free, i downgraded to 2gb. Now that the promo is gone, im think to switch to celcom since I cant really survive with only 2gb, as they no longer offer 5gb rm75 surftmore

If you seldom make call, can maintain the surfmore 50 plan with monthly add on 1GB @ RM15. So every month pay for RM65 you will get 3GB data

I just left Surfmore 75, for First Gold 80!

you pay almost the same amount. but greater savings in the long run (free calls), at almost the same coverage, at better speed (KV). even I'm surprised by it. celcom data used to suck a lot when I was working in East Malaysia.

Surfmore 75 use for several years. Maxis user since 2004. Goodbye Maxis!!!

Eh? No typo haha. Yes Digi's plan is slightly cheaper but I've been very happy with my Maxis experience. Digi plan was too good compared to Surfmore 50 though.

But since they now offer me OnePlan 158 with rebates (not cheaper but much more competitive with Digi and Celcom), it was a no-brainer for me haha.

After reading this topic I called Maxis and request to speak to loyalty team and asked them to offer me their retention package.

They offered me RM88 and RM48 for Maxis One 188, 8GB unlimited calls and SMS, Maxis One Share for supplementary line.

I accepted the offer because of the maxis one share. I think this package is hard to beat.

Yes it is with 24 months contract. We have been using maxis since 1996, although celcom has similar package but with maxis new contract we actually save around 120 per month and we get extra 6gb data. Monthly bill for this account was RM250-300.

Now it is RM88 + RM48 and GST.

No they don't
They only offered that plan to those who wants to MNP
It's a last resort to make their customers stay with them

If they really listen to their customers, they would've open that plan to the public so everyone can enjoy

I was referencing this to one of the recent posters on this thread. Maxis customer loyalty dept agreed to his/her proposal.

Maxis is a huge company. I'm sure their board of directors are providing sufficient oversight with regards to their management's strategic policies. Was with them for umpteen years. I wished they'd listen more to their customers.

you pay almost the same amount. but greater savings in the long run (free calls), at almost the same coverage, at better speed (KV). even I'm surprised by it. celcom data used to suck a lot when I was working in East Malaysia.

Surfmore 75 use for several years. Maxis user since 2004. Goodbye Maxis!!!

i am tempting for this move too....however i have a supp line to consider...
do you just owning single line or have supp too?
If yes what your take on celcom supp??

After reading this topic I called Maxis and request to speak to loyalty team and asked them to offer me their retention package.

They offered me RM88 and RM48 for Maxis One 188, 8GB unlimited calls and SMS, Maxis One Share for supplementary line.

I accepted the offer because of the maxis one share.  I think this package is hard to beat.

can you share number to contact, might need to try my luck if they can offer the same package as yours.. i have supp line too.. currently on surfmore 75 + surfmore 30

Just call 123 from your phone.

Data allocation is up to you to decide.

RM88 + RM48 plus GST.

If you're a fairly new customer, they might not counter offer.

Today finally receive call from loyalty team.

They offer me RM68 for 5GB data & unlimited calls & sms.

Guess what, the best part is Without Contract.

And yes, I took the offer.

They have RM88 for 7GB data, but I think 5GB is more than enough for me...

Apparently you need to submit port requests only Maxis will call to counter offer. Otherwise contacting their support team is useless as they have no idea what is going on.

Actually it doesn't matter if Maxis got call or not as Celcom First offer is quite lucrative.

Not entirely correct. This was what happened to me this morning :

1. I called up the CS at 123 and told them I wanted to speak with the loyalty team because I was seriously intending to port out but not yet initiated the porting process.
2. They did the standard account verification, created a ticket and told me someone from the Maxis would call me later.
3. Then, in the afternoon I received the call, and the guy introduced himself from Maxis and discussed about my intention to port out.
4. He then asked about how much data I wanted and presented the various available (read "counter") plans.
5. One of them is the RM68 with 5GB with unlimited call and SMS, valid for two years/24 months and no contract. Basically it's just the RM158 OnePlan with RM90 rebated over 24 months. Same goes for the RM188 OnePlan with RM100 rebate.
6. He further stated that during the 24 months period, I'm free to change plan or port out and there will no penalty imposed.
7. I asked for email confirmation on these T&C, he responded "can't spell these out in email" but such will be reflected in the new bill.
8. I accepted the offer, but since I was still with contract on the existing plan, I was told to pay up the remaining termination penalty cost first.
9 He then activated the new RM68 plan for me rclxms.gif

So, bottomline you just need to call up the CS and take it from there. thumbup.gif

Yes, you can. Just pay up the remaining termination penalty cost and you'll be OK.

P/S:The CS @ 123 will pretend to tell you there is no "loyalty team", however you just need to insist whistling.gif

thanks a lot mate, u save something from my wallet.. i just did mine just now.. was on surfmore 75 + supp surfmore 30..

1. called to CS at 123 asked them better plan for my account
2. he bla bla bla and said no plan can actually save my bills
3. ask him if there is any arrears amount i need to settle before PORTING OUT.
4. at this point he politely ask me to be on hold while he get someone from 'backroom team' if there is any better plan to offer
5. rest sama macam atas but i told him i need something for my supp. he offer maxis one share 48 per month.
6. so basically mine will be 5gb share between both lines (i set to main 4gb + supp 1gb), monthly 68+48+gst. unlimited call n sms!

We noticed that there has been some speculation on recent posts put up regarding special offers given to certain Maxis customers and we’d like to clear up a few things.

Yes, other than our standard promotions, our marketing team often pilots non-standard offers for marketing research where a small number of customers are selected based on certain criteria such as their tenure with us, their monthly usage, payment records, location and many others non-common customer profile attributes. These offers are by invitation only and if you are selected, GREAT! You will receive that special call smile.gif

So, we hope that this has helped to clear up some concerns as we wouldn’t want anyone to attempt to port out only to be disappointed.

Dizzy just seeing all these comments.

Really wish I can takeup the offer but cant cause Digi and Celcom network really bad, 1 in office and the other at home. How leh?

From my experience, Maxis really have the faster and more consistent network. Others:
Digi:
Tried Digi last year November, after their network upgrade, signal really bad you can see it jumping from EDGE, 3G and LTE so often and that drains battery. Speed is OK if you can get a good signal.

Celcom:
Have my second line on them now, better signal except at my house in Serdang. However, their speed is really not fast. Most of the time I run speedtest will get only single digit mbps. Also, their customer service is bad lah, first call I got from them was to chase for payment, when I havent even received my bill. Even now 2 months later I have not received a bill from them. Also, try calling their contact centre, you will pengsan leh with the way they handle yoru call.

All in all, Maxis is expensive but has it's merits. For me if they come close to the competition, I have no doubt I will stick with them.

Actually I only pay RM 65 for Surfmore 75. Maxis give me "loyalty rebate" RM 10 every month.

Today finally receive call from loyalty team.

They offer me RM68 for 5GB data & unlimited calls & sms.

Guess what, the best part is Without Contract.

And yes, I took the offer.

They have RM88 for 7GB data, but I think 5GB is more than enough for me...

Dear Maxis. Please offer me the same package. Hehehe

Invitation only my arse. If the dude didn't threaten to port out, would he have been 'invited'..? doh.gif

Good Job maxis, my gf, siblings and my parents had just ported out one after another, and I will be leaving Maxis real soon. I have been a loyal customer for 6 years, from your 148 plan to 128 but it is getting ridiculous. You think you have the best coverage? Fact is most of us do not live in the forest and those who do, cannot afford your services. Have a nice day.

I will choose to port out too if the company is not paying my phone bill. Since I am covered by my company, I took the oneshare plan, got a free phone and pay the supplementary line which is RM48 a month.

Maxis is all about coverage. Their 4G is stable almost everywhere even on highways.

Celcom 4G not stable. UMobile some areas no coverage. DiGi slightly better.

I'm on Maxis legacy plan. VP50 with RM 99 limited 10GB data plan.

For Celcom, I'm on the First Basic 38 with 3GB data plan. For UMobile, I'm on the cheapest plan U28 with 3GB data plan.

Second it. I'm porting out as well, I have been with maxis for more than a decade now and I felt embarrassed with their current offers as compared to its' competitors. It's too damn far apart, they should be embarrassed as to what their representing to the public as well.

Yesterday I called 123 and ask for total contract penalty charge, they ask why. I say maxis very expensive, then I ask for call from customer loyalty department

Today get call from them.
They offer me
RM68 for 5GB or RM88 for 7GB with unlimited call
RM158 for 5GB or RM188 for 7GB with unlimited call with two years contract and get free Note 5.

i gonna accept the first offer when they call me tomorrow

Between I just use maxis for 8 years and for past one year my monthly usage for whole account is above RM500 and classified as Maxis One Club Elite

(currently using 1 plan RM188)

You may want to check the total penalty that you need to pay, then match with your saving amount if take other plan.
From there, you should have a clear picture, whether to go or not.

did a rough calculation.
the saving from the celcom plan to cover back the penalty charge will require the same remaining months of the maxis contract. so doesn't make any diff

the pros is 5GB + 5GB data smile.gif

the cons is need to fork out the penalty charges 1st sad.gif

No LOL
You can only carry forward 3GB per month

Let's say last month you still have 2GB left, so this month you will get new 3GB+2GB brought forward from last month for a total of 5GB
Then this month you still have 5GB unused, you can only bring forward 3GB for next month + new 3GB for a total of only 6GB

thanks a lot mate, u save something from my wallet.. i just did mine just now.. was on surfmore 75 + supp surfmore 30..

1. called to CS at 123 asked them better plan for my account
2. he bla bla bla and said no plan can actually save my bills
3. ask him if there is any arrears amount i need to settle before PORTING OUT.
4. at this point he politely ask me to be on hold while he get someone from 'backroom team' if there is any better plan to offer
5. rest sama macam atas but i told him i need something for my supp. he offer maxis one share 48 per month.
6. so basically mine will be 5gb share between both lines (i set to main 4gb + supp 1gb), monthly 68+48+gst. unlimited call n sms!

rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif
*
75 + 30 = 105 before GST for 5GB + 1GB without call/sms
68 + 48 = 116 before GST for 5GB shared + call/sms

turn out if u not someone who make super lot calls...u r paying extra 10+tax for lesser data.....

i haven made any call or such, nor deciding whether to ditch @maxis yet...
that day one of the CS did called up and attempt to offer me this:
128/158 plan, pay in full, but add 1GB free for me....
promised to call next day to confirm, but i missed the call... but nvm...i won't want that anyway...
the counter/offer is sound too absurd...

will be stick with surfmore75 for a while more before deciding wanna say bye-bye or not

In my opinion Maxis just want to buy time the cheap way but telling us some plans in the way but never commit any dates and hope their customer missed the opportunity to jump ship (like to Celcom First Gold 80 ending in March 2016).

Waited too long should have jumped the ship when Celcom had the 38 plan with 3GB earlier.

Going to Sunway Blue Cube this weekend to port out! #PortOutMaxis

If that is the case Maxis will be out of business. That is not good for consumers. We need competitive market to keep the price down. Let some people keep Maxis survive for the benefit of the mass. rclxm9.gif

Why is this not good for the consumers?
Now Celcom is making it competitive with low price and god offers while Maxis is still charging high price with low offers.

Maxis won't go out of business. They are targeting the corporate clients with special packages and pricing.
Users who are paying the service from their own pockets are definitely looking for the best offers.

I immediately upgraded from the 38 plan to the 80 plan once it was available. But that's just me.

Most people already love the 38 plan. It's even better than certain Prepaid plans. Good thing Celcom stopped it, or their network would be superbly overloaded, like when I registered for the 38 plan.

Now Celcom's network seems a lot more stable. thumbsup.gif

The reason why I took the 80 is because I make a ton of calls. Haha. It's like total freedom when you have unlimited calls and SMS to all networks.

But these days, there's even WhatsApp calls and all, the 38 plan is more than enough for most people. biggrin.gif

The reason why I took the 80 is because I make a ton of calls. Haha. It's like total freedom when you have unlimited calls and SMS to all networks.

But these days, there's even WhatsApp calls and all, the 38 plan is more than enough for most people. biggrin.gif

MNP makes the call between diff network is harder to tell...
and that creates more hassle for users...
given ppl now has a lot options can use data to call through VoIP...why u wan a GSM call?
so now call/sms is a optional value add-on, not a must anymore...

data is king today devil.gif

I was posting on their FB page on their unfair treatment ever since all this started. My penalty to port out is close to RM1k so I can think of better ways to use that money than to donate it to them. Anyway, few days ago they blocked me from their FB stating I was spamming them. But I'm so happy that for the past two days more and more people are posting on their FB page about their discrimination of customers. In this day of social media and information technology, strange how they think they can get away with this. Their CS all speechless already, other than the cut and paste answers. Drones.

Step 1: You will have to go to the new mobile service provider's service centre or authorised dealer to request for number porting.

Step 2: Fill in a Service Registration Form and pay the porting fees for processing. You will be issued with a new SIM card.

Step 3: Upon approval, the new mobile service provider will inform you that you have successfully ported when the new SIM card is activate

Roughly how much is the porting fees? If I have a principal line and three supplementary lines, do I have to pay 4 times the porting fees?
