My baby boy 4 days old caught jaundice but already discharge from hospital today. Any particular things to take note this few days?.

Doctor say it will go off in 3 weeks time..

Just make sure drink lots of breast milk (or some water). And ensure the baby is not too high. Some baby jaundice due to breast milk, to make sure it is the reason, you can stop breast milk for a day or two, if it is really due to breast milk, the jaundice will subdue in 24 hours. Some pedi got no experience in breast milk jaundice, hence recommend more blood test etc.

dont think relate to breat milk.. jaundice is common wheter is severe or not ..

Nope, there is indeed breast milk related jaundice.

Depends, my pedi recommend a bit water (a spoon). Some Pedi say no.

Another thing my newborn face looks very red.. is it normal? Or the baby very warm/hot.. baby currently sleep with mother, mother currently at home doing her confinement so cannot use aircond..

What is the best way to treat diaper rash particularly around baby butt hole there? We putting sudocrem currently.. wear cloth diaper is it better?.

got rash, wear cloth temporary

sudocrem. and after heal, then make sure you powder often to avoid baby from constantly having sweat soaked bottom.

Which mattress suitable for playpen? Latex? Memory foam? Or just normal foam mattress? Preparing to buy for new born.

i thought playpen already comes with mattress? normally playpen just for short naps though so should be ok.

It came with a very thin pad. That seems to be too hard. Plan to put at nanny's house.

i think the latex wan very gooding. easy to clean, baby/toddler fall oso tak sakit. but the good ones are very pricey

Bros I’m expecting my first born in end of May. And am planning to do shopping now itself. I’m from Melaka and would like to ask , Is it worth it to travel to ikea to buy a baby cot and play pen ? I would actually prefer to just get the stuff online and use. U credit cards.
Can I get good quality ones online ? Any suggestions ?
What else do I need ?

So far , this is the list I made :

1. 2 cots with mattress and pillows
2. Blanket
3. mosquito net
4. Changing table with dresser
5. Changing pad to be put on the mattress
6. Bathing tub
7. Pampers , socks , mittens , new born wear
8. towel , bassinet
9. napkins
10. breast pump , pad , storage bag , sterilizer - getting online from mylovelybaby ( fb site) , RM 699 for pump and RM 88 for accessories , but without sterilizer
11. baby stroller - need to know how big the baby is
12. car seat - need to know how big is the baby
13. Baby carrier
14. Baby bouncer

item 11 to 14 not urgent.. you can buy once baby reach 3 months unless u really semangat want to go out

Did shopping at my lovely baby at OUG area last night. Purchased 2 play pens and breast pump with lots of free gifts. Bought the Joie illusion playpen for RM 1049, comes with mattress and pillows.

baby need to be in colder room.. confinement cannot kena direct wind from fan.. thats why switch on air-con 26-28 Celsius..

mother eat a lot of ginger/red dates water, all these nutrient will go into the breast milk.. thats why baby need air-con to prevent too much sweating n rashes..

u got confinement lady help?
