that's why I know the problem. even the banking supervisor came to help out the teller at the counter

I hope ASNB do some upgrade to their new system. it's causing so many problems. because of this, some lazy tellers don't want to help when we ask to try luck to top up

Went to Maybank just now to try to open ASW. The guy ask me to go ASNB branch as ASNB staff can see real time units while agent banks can't. He says if he open account for me and there are no units available, the account will self destruct within 24 hours and there is a waiting period of a few months before I can try to open account again. And he say since I don't have account yet, he can't check the units available for me. So I'm wondering how do people open account at agent banks?

That's their excuse. Just ignore and proceed. Tell them you tak cuba how you know tak boleh buka. I tahu kalau ada yg jual. I boleh buka. Of course use don't be greedy and try rm1k. Stick with rm100.I have never heard of such thing try again in few months. I kena rejected few times when trying to open asw2020 but I went from one bank to another all on the same day and manage to open.

I know he was reluctant to try to open for me by looking at his body language. Initially I wanted to play the psychology game with him but I was in a rush so didn't bother. Just left after he told me the bull story.

So actually what's the procedure for new account opening? They create a new account first and after that then they try to search for available units using the new account? Or they just main hentam trial and error without keying in the account details and if they see there's available units, then they'll proceed with account opening?

From what I heard is they create one for you. If don't have, they close account. That's why they don't want to do cause it's troublesome.

However from my observation is it looks like they trial and error. But I could be wrong.

u might want to check out 1st page on places to open new account. No guarantee, but the list is based on our forummers experiences

as for the process. the staff open the account 1st. get the account number. then only they go for "try & error" method to "catch" some units in the system using the account number

Teller did 5 transactions,
1K , 1K, 3K, 5K , 10K, ( I closed my eyes for the last transaction ).
She is very helpful.

Did you have to take 5 different queue numbers in order to complete the transactions or just need take number one time and ask the teller to do multiple transactions for you? Just curious, how long did you have to spend at the bank?

You don't need to take different no. One can try multiple times at the counter with the same no. Depend whether counter staff want to entertain you or not.

ta-pou sandwich back to office

need to ask all SIFU here,
if do online top up in the morning and OTC in the afternoon,
which one tranx get priority first , should there be units available ?

craking my brain, how the system works ?

Not sure if this has been asked before..can we deposit $ for someone else without the passbook? I want to top up for my mother but she is in different State and it's not convenient for her to go bank always.
