@serez

Do u run it passively or with a fan ..... HR-01 works well with just a low RPM fan that pushed least amount of air...

I used to use it with stock E6600 with a 12cm fan that runs about 700RPM with temperature idle at 35c load at 48c ...

Even if it's equipped with high CFM fan the result may not be promising at all ..

Good evening guys. I humbly seek ur opinion about my chassis fan setup. Rite now, when my case is closed, the cpu temp is ~60'C both cores. With side panel opened, the temp dropped to ~53'C both cores. I guess the air circulation in my chassis sucks sweat.gif . Here's what I'm thinking about:

So.. What do u guys think?

Here's my current CM690 fan setup: Rear and top is exaust, front and side is the intake, bottom (none), all coolermaster stock fans.

That's not my P5N-E SLi, haven't fitted it yet blush.gif . I'm going to change to TT Big Typhoon VX, psu, and replace the mobo with P5N-E SLi (still in the box).

Is it possible for the processor temps to be lower than the ambient temp during the same time of observation using air cooling?

I came across a review of an active air-cooling heatsink that has a reported CPU core temps lower than ambient.

wat i usually do to find out temps in speedfan is ...

1/ install the mobo's monitoring software
2/ open both mobo's software and speedfan....
3/ load cpu and see which one matches.

works everytime wink.gif

http://www.zerotherm.net/eng/product/NV120p.asp

i just bought this cooler from sim lim square yesterday. I would like to consult from you all experienced overclocker if the temp i'm having is reasonable for this upgrade. icon_question.gif

details:-
intel pentium dual core E2160@3Ghz, vcore 1.45, stepping m0 (333X9)
pc5300 2gb dual channel running at 333mhz, multiplier 2.0
ga-p35-ds3p

stock cooler idle temp is at 45c and full load is at 70c. doh.gif

after upgrade temp i'm getting at idle is 36c, full load is at 65c. if the product is suppose to be doing better, i may think of lapping on the base cooler to give it another try. hmm.gif
