i want to ask something here.. im using e2180 with abit f-190hd

im using TAT and speedfan to monitor my temps..

in speedfan,
the CPU at idle is at 42 C, core0 34C and core1 30C with ambient at 29C

i read an article at anandtech and it state that the tcase (CPU) temp should be lower than tjunction (core0,core1) but why is my cpu temp is much higher than the core temp? is the measurement is right? which temp should i consider/monitor if i want to OC my cpu? kinda blurr...

mmm...that puzzle me also...how come? tcase should be higher than tjunction. try using CoreTemp instead of speed fan. this should give better results

Hi Sifu,
I have a question (strange one) blink.gif . I tried to OC the proc staring from 1.34 until 1.61V, most of the time the CPU temp just ideal at 47 degrees. Here is the tread

- 1.34V (temp at 44 degrees)
- 1.37V (temp at 47 degrees)
- 1.42V (temp at 47 degrees)
- 1.47v (temp at 47 degrees)
- 1.50V (temp at 47 degrees)
- 1.56v (temp at 47 degrees)
- 1.61v (temp at 47 degrees)

Mobo: DFI Lanparty UT NF4 Ultra-D
Proc: AMD X2 4200+ Oced
Heatsink: Thermalright XP90 with 8.5cm fans

Is this normal or is my proc overheating. I scare i will burn my proc.

coretemp only shows core temperature(tjunction)...not cpu (tcase) what i wanna know... should i consider only the coretemp and ignore the tcase temperature?? since i am overclocking my cpu..

What cooling you use??

Btw, I think you do not need to open a thread solely for temperature.
You always ask this in Pinned thread smile.gif

Could you please tell me how to get a temperature like yours. Mine idle can only go down at most to 26C. Ambient of course 27C in Malaysia. How did you manage to get to 21C and load to only 25C. icon_rolleyes.gif

Yeah, it's kinda unbelievable. Also if the ambient room temperature is 25-26C. How did it get to 21C at idle when only use air cooling. hmm.gif

add about 10c to that temps, easytune 5 only shows the temp in the middle of the cpu, and not on the cores.

Added on December 18, 2007, 4:09 pmand, what do u use to load the cpu?
