Hello,
My idle cpu temperature is 28 to 33 degrees, however when it is on load, the temperature can be quite scary it could sky rocket to about 90 degrees, it would firstly be in the region of 55 degrees but after a while it would increase dramatically, 2-3 degrees at a time to about 90 degrees after about 2 minutes of orthos..
I took out the cpu cooler and put it back in again ensuring everything's in the right place but the problem still persists..
I took my whole mobo and clean everything, the chipset heatsinks and all but it only got a little better, now after 6 minutes of orthos only will the temperature fly sky high..
I tried with both overclocking and non-overclocking of the processor, but the problem is still the same..
Could anyway kindly help me with my problem?
Anyways I'm using artic cooling freezer 64 with the mx1 thermal paste that came with it..
What casing u have? do u have intake and exhaust fan in ur casing? if no exhaust fan...the heat might trap inside the casing and ur cooler will use back the hot air to "cool" ur processor...so the temp will getting higher and higher...that is just my assumption for your case...
