Sifu here, wanna ask something.

Previously i used stock cooler with stock TIM
3.01GHz at 1.875Vcore, idle at 50C, load at 58C

now my pc is running at 3.15GHz as said in my siggy, using mx-2 TIM.
idle temperature around 42C, load can go 50C
Vcore is 1.225

seems like not so worthwhile lar.. what you guys think?

mine use e6420.. using zalman 9700nt.. and super thermal grease from zalman also..

idle is 43 C..

is it normal? i expect the temp is lower than 43 C.. in that case.. do i need to change the TIM?

if u change the TIM also not much diff in idle unless in LOAD.i wonder y ppl are to stressing on idle temp.its LOAD that matters ere coz overheating will cause ur proc to go to HEAVEN maa laugh.gif

try artic mx2 TIM maybe help to lower 2-3c if lucky but it needs to be cooked for a while to see its effectiveness icon_rolleyes.gif

its normal if u OCed ur proc.the NB chipset also will get hotter.maybe u can cabbie tie a fan to the heatsink for simple and cheap solution.OR u can get urself a 3rd party cooler for ur NB.maybe HR 05 or NOCTUA nc u6.

haa didnt notice.ok for sayla..if u change to 3rd party cooler of coz u wanna see a good result since ur forking some money for the item rite.ok here goes basically 3rd party cooler performs @ shows their potential mostly on LOAD temperature on idle maybe 2-3c than stok cooler.

List ur temperature like this:

stok cooler

IDLE temp ??c LOAD temp ??c

TTBT + MX-2

IDLE temp ??c LOAD temp ??c

focus on the LOAD temperature.see any big diff? whistling.gif
